Cyber monday ipod touch Deals
Amazon's deal of the day on Cyber Monday (at least so far) is the 2nd generation 8GB iPod touch. The iPod has a list price of $199.99, and Amazon sells it for $178, but you can save 21 percent today and snag it for $158.
The iPod touch features an accelerometer, and a built-in speaker. It can hold up to 1,750 songs, 10,000 photos, or 10 hours of video. The 3.5-inch widescreen multi-touch display has a 480-by-320-pixel resolution, and the iPod touch can play up to 36 hours of music, or up to six hours of video when fully charged. Audio Analyst Tim Gideon gave the 2nd Gen iPod Touch a 5 out of 5 rating, and an Editors' Choice stamp of approval. Apple are also getting into the mood for Cyber Monday, as we have details on how you can save money on a refurbished iPod Touch, as well as details for all their other Cyber Monday products.
If you head to the official product page here, you will see they are offering customers a refurbished 16GB iPod Touch for only $199. This is the 2nd Generation version, meaning that it comes with added support for Nike+, Bluetooth and built-in speaker.
Those of you worrying about the ‘refurbished’ condition needn’t worry, as you’ll still get the same 1 year warranty from Apple, as well as a new battery and earbuds, and retail box with manuals and all the other bits. Other Cyber Monday deals from Apple include a Dr Dre ‘Monster Beats’ set of headphones for $269.95 (was $299.95), a Hello Kitty Air Jacket for iPhone 3GS ($35.95) and savings on Office 2008 for Mac.

American Girl Cyber Monday 2009
Cyber Monday and that means more deals for you to take advantage of. And this time, you can shop in the comfort of your own home.
The American Girl series of dolls is a menace to the wallets of parents of daughters across the land, offering up insanely overpriced dolls by merit of the fact that many have a historical bent and thereby warrant the massive price tags. However crazy the prices are, little girls go batshit for the things, requesting all manner of expensive steamer trunks and special doll hair brushes to tend to the $100 pieces of plastic. (It could be worse, flyover states readers. My daughter knows that there’s the American Girl store 20 minutes from Daddy’s house in Brooklyn, and she can get her dolly’s hair styled for more than Mommy’s spent on her own hair all year, if her parents weren’t so mean.)
If your little brat princess is into American Girl dolls, the Cyber Monday sale is getting a bit of internet attention today for some cut rate doll accessories. Things are selling out quickly, but there’s still a lot to choose from in the sale section. Some highlights:
* Hair-Care Kit for Dolls Price: $5 Save: $10
* Bitty Lambie Tee for Girls Price: $5 Save: $13
* Molly’s Chifforobe Price: $125 Save: $50
* Bitty Twins Kitchen Collection Price: $40 Save: $56
* Kit’s Cookstove Price: $34 Save: $34
* Kit’s Produce & Preserves Price: $17 Save: $17
* Chrissa’s Pet Llama Price: $15 Save: $10
* Licorice Lunch Bag for Girls Price: $10 Save: $10
* Snowboard Accessories Price: $16 Save: $16
* Addy’s Ice Cream Set Price: $40 Save: $28
Cyber Monday gives you another chance to pick up special offers and savings, but online rather than in your local stores. To go through the entire list of online retailers’ deals, would be never ending, so we thought we would bring you one or two.
And one that is definitely worth a mention is americangirl.com. They have some great savings on a range of items on their website. But the deals are only for today, so if you do want to take a look and purchase anything, you might have to act fast.
Some of the Cyber Monday specials they are offering, include the Doll Hair Studio DVD for only $4, The “Samantha: An American Girl Holiday” video for only $3, a Sapphire Party Outfit for only $9, and a Julie Cooking Studio, for only $7.98.

2009 Cyber Monday deals
This Monday is special, so I've rounded up four particularly sweet bargains that are good today only. And, as always, the sellout risk is high, so get your mouse-clickin' finger warmed up.
1) In the market for a monitor? Staples has the Acer X213HBbd 21.5-inch LCD for $109.99 shipped. Specs include VGA/DVI (HDCP) inputs, a 5-ms response time, and a three-year warranty. This is the lowest price I've seen on a new 22-inch monitor.
2) Need a desktop replacement? Dell has an Inspiron 17 laptop for $549 shipped. It sports a whopping 17.3-inch display, a Core 2 Duo processor, and Windows 7 Home Premium. You can customize just about every feature to your liking, but the base configuration is mighty solid. That's the best deal on a 17-inch lappie I've seen all year--not the lowest price, mind you, but the best bang for the buck.
3) Still shopping for the perfect portable PC? Best Buy has the Samsung N140-14R Netbook for $279.99 shipped (plus sales tax in most states). That's higher than other models I've posted recently, but this is a decidedly high-end Netbook. Specs include Intel's Atom N280 processor, a 10.1-inch screen, a 250GB hard drive, 802.11n, and a six-cell battery. The OS: Windows 7 Starter.
4) Here's a great stocking stuffer: Newegg has the Zune Premium Headphones for $9.99 shipped. I've had a pair for years; they're my preferred earbuds for travel. They do a great job isolating outside noise (like airplane engines), and they're extremely comfortable. Obviously you don't need a Zune to use them; they'll work with any phone or MP3 player. Microsoft sells them for $39.99, so I can't recommend this deal highly enough.

Raheem DeVaughn Bulletproof
Raheem DeVaughn has released a new single called “Bulletproof”. DeVaughn received some support from Ludacris in this track. DeVaughn sounds like a mix of soul and blues.
DeVaughn’s lyrics embrace contemporary social themes. For example, one verse says,
Some will die over oil kill over land
Charge you for taxes and blame Uncle Sam
Read you your rights and charge you for nothing
Now who’s really gangsta
And tell me who’s frontin’
Murder your sons, ravage your daughters
Here overseas and across the waters
Tanks and missiles, bombs and grenades
Inject the land with guns and aids

Pierce County 4 police have been shot dead!
A sheriff's official in Pierce County says four police officers have been shot dead in ambush at a coffee house.
Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer told The News Tribune in Tacoma that the officers were sitting in the coffee shop near the McChord Air Force Base with their computers when the shooter came in Sunday morning.
He says investigators believe the officers were targeted, and it was not a robbery.
Troyer tells the newspaper "it was just a flat out ambush."
He could not immediately say what agency the officers were from.

Dexter Season 4 Episode 10
Dexter Season 4 Episode 10, Will be forever remembered for introducing us to the Trinity Killer shuffle (who knew that John Lithgow was that nimble?). The enigma that is Arthur “Twinkletoes” Mitchell was further unfolded as we find out the genesis for his ritual of three kills. At the age of 10, he inadvertently caused the death of his sister in the bathtub, which in turn caused his mother to commit suicide by jumping off a building. Sometime after that, his father “died,” as he put it (more like he got pummeled by a hammer as Dexter puts it). Phew, that’s a lot of take in. Is that enough to push a man to a 30 year killing spree? In Trinity’s wacky case, the signs point to yes. Since the outset of this season we've been waiting for John Lithgow's Trinity killer to meet Dexter, and this week we're not disappointed. Having identified Arthur Mitchell last week, Dexter decides to get close to his prey and learn how this particular example of his kind works.
For Dexter, his methodology and psychology is a major revelation, as he breaks many of the rules that have kept him a free man. Yet Trinity has been killing people for thirty years or more, reliving the deaths of his own family.
What's quite shocking is how much of a personality flip switch Arthur has, making Dexter, by comparison, a very mild-mannered serial killer.
Having gained his confidence, Dexter gets inside the family home and locates the urn containing his sister's ashes, and decides to push that particular button by picking it up in front of Arthur. The reaction he's looking for isn't long in coming, as Arthur gently takes the ashes from him, before violently assaulting him.
What worried me about this, on reflection, is that Dexter's taken the view that, as Arthur has completed his cycle of murder, he's not actually dangerous. But this reminds me of people who work with big cats or other dangerous wildlife, who become overly confident, and end up regretting their bravado.

Sean Casey IMAX Film
On 18 May 2009, Discovery Channel renewed Storm Chasers for a third season which began airing in the Fall of 2009. Reed Timmer and the TVN team return with their new "SRV Dominator" vehicle. Dr. Josh Wurman and his DOW team have now joined the massive, government-funded VORTEX2 research project, leaving them with little time to aid filmmaker Sean Casey. Casey and his TIV team return in their improved TIV2, and are now assisted by a new team of meteorologists in TIV Doghouse (a Dodge Ram 2500 equipped with weather radar, GPS and HD filming equipment). A new team known as TWISTEX led by veteran storm chaser Tim Samaras along with Carl Young and Tony Laubach join the series driving TWISTEX Probe (a modified 2003 GMC Sierra Denali) and Twistex M1-M3 (three modified Chevy Cobalts). Also returning are Danny Cheresnick and Aaron Ruppert in their SCOUT vehicle (a new 2009 Jeep Wrangler replaces the old Nissan Pathfinder).
Timmer's new SRV Dominator is heavily modified version of the Chevy Tahoe used in the previous season. The vehicle now features thin armor shell composed of sheet metal and lexan, giving it an appearance similar to Sean Casey's TIV1. While the new armor allows Timmer and his team to get much closer to a tornado than a conventional vehicle, it cannot actually drive into one like the heavier TIV vehicles. Other additions to Timmer's team include a new advanced radar and an experimental remote controlled aircraft with a 12-foot wingspan, designed to fly around tornadoes with an advanced auto-pilot system, and drop small probes into tornadoes.
The first episode starts with the TVN crew explaining their new vehicle the "SRV Dominator" which is a heavy modified Chevy Tahoe, made like the TIV, but not heavy or strong enough to actually drive into a tornado. While TVN was on their first chase they were able to get close to and record a EF-2 tornado in Oklahoma. Meanwhile, Sean explained his new chase crew does not feature anybody from last season other than the TIV crew. While on their first chase, Sean's team gets lost and misses the first tornado of the season.
The Vortex 2 team (Josh Wurman and the DOW, the Walkers, the Scout team, and others) did not appear until the 3rd episode, and do not appear again until the 7th episode.

Annie Lennox HIV Positive
Annie Lennox “Many Rivers to Cross” from Idol Gives Back
One of the most stirring and emotional performances on last night’s American Idol – Idol Gives Back special was Annie Lennox walking on to a darkened stage wearing a HIV Positive t-shirt and sitting at her piano. Annie and Bono appeared in a video with a family that had been devestated by AIDS. This is her performance. Is Annie Lennox HIV positive? Annie Lennox is not HIV positive but she supports patients of the disease. Lennox said she wore the T shirt with the words, “HIV Positive”. The back of the T shirt has the words, “Fighting HIV/ Aids”.
Annie Lennox said she wants to use her campaign SING to spread the message about HIV positive sufferers. Lennox said she was aware of the social stigma attached to HIV positive sufferers so she thought that one way of fighting this would be to normalize HIV.
Annie Lennox was honored with the 2009 Woman of Peace Award for her contribution to the HIV Positive / Aids campaign. Lennox’s efforts were mainly in South Africa’s women and children.

Maurice Clemmons has been named a person of interest, and thus Maurice Clemmons is being sought by authorities who have questions for the man who left jail just one week ago. Maurice Clemmons is currently wanted for questioning in the murders
Maurice Clemmons Named Person of Interest in Lakewood Police Shootings
of four Lakewood police officers in the morning hours of Sunday, November 29th. It hasn't been made clear what his tie to the case currently is, but there must be a good reason that Pierce County is looking for the man in connection with the crimes. They aren't stating that he is a suspect at the time, but rather a person of interest in the investigation. Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer told reporters that Maurice Clemmons, 37, was one of several people investigators want to talk to and that he could not be called a suspect at this point.
In a news release, the sheriff's office said Clemmons has an extensive violent criminal history from Arkansas, including aggravated robbery and theft. Clemmons was also recently was arrested and charged in Pierce County, Washington state for third-degree assault on a police officer, and second-degree rape of a child.
According to The Seattle Times, Clemmons was released from the Peirce County Jail last week, despite facing eight felony charges. Clemmons posted $15,000 with a bail bondsman, who paid the remainder of the man's $150,000 bail.
In 1989, Clemmons, then 17, was convicted in Little Rock for aggravated robbery. He was paroled in 2000 after then-Gov. Mike Huckabee commuted Clemmons' 95-year prison sentence. Huckabee, who was criticized during his run for the Republican presidential nomination in 2008 for the number of clemencies and commutations he granted, cited Clemmons' age at the time of the sentence. Former governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee apparently granted him clemency nine years ago, commuting his lengthy prison sentence despite the protests of prosecutors. If Maurice Clemmons is tied to these crimes, or if it turns out that he is the man guilty of committing these murders, then Mike Huckabee is going to have a lot of questions to answer. It's also at question as to why Clemmons is even out of jail right now, as he has been waiting to face charges of child-rape in Washington, but was allowed to post bail of only $15,000 in order to get out into the public once again.
UC application
According to a Frost & Sullivan study, “currently, India leads the region’s UC market in terms of total spending and better overall awareness of Unified Communications (UC), whereas Bangladesh, with strict regulations on Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), comes last.”
With the work environment becoming increasingly complex, a new competitive dynamics coming into place and consequent need to control costs, users in the South Asia and Middle East region are considering the adoption of Unified Communications (UC) applications, the survey said.

Mortgage Software for easily track payments
Mortgage software is mostly suited to clients who have large, or more likely several mortgages they wish to monitor and manage. This is where suitable mortgage software to manage your loans comes in very, very handy.
The mortgage software will allow you to easily track payments and more importantly make payment simple and ensure it’s always done on time. On top of automating these tasks, good mortgage software should also provide you with instant access to your statements or spit out any arrears notices if they are in place.
While many large banks and lending institutions have online mortgage software, which is usually available for a small fee – having external ‘user owned’ mortgage software allows you to safely and officially track your mortgage progress, without having to rely on the banks statements and information.

DWI stands for driving while intoxicated
This is not just alcohol, but it could be drugs (prescribed or simply illegal substances and is the more serious of driving charges when compared to DWI. In almost all cases, if you are caught DWI – you will need the assistance of a DWI lawyer or attorney to help downgrade the charge or you could end up with serious financial and criminal penalties.
DUI stands for driving under the influence. While still a crime and frowned upon, this generally is a lesser charge where the guilty party had less alcohol or other substances in their system while driving the motor vehicle. While a lesser charge, it’s still recommended you contact a DUI lawyer or attorney to assist with your court case. You will obviously pay a premium for the lawyer / attorney services regardless of your state, but this will save you money in the long run.
If you choose not you use their services, you might save at the time of the court case – but your financial penalty and jail term could be much higher in both cases.
While the laws around DUI and DWI do vary from state of state of the USA, and also other countries for that matter. Once you’ve been cited for either of the statutes, this will generally see too legal events brought against you.
You’ll have a criminal action launched (in response to your infringement noticed issued after the DUI / DWI event) as well as an Administrative Action which is launched on your personal drivers licence. In each case, there could quite possibly be additional penalties – this is why its so crucial to have the assistance of a DUI Attorney or DWI Lawyer to guide you.
In terms of the administrative hearing, in most states you have no more than 15 days to submit your request. When the officer involved keeps your state drivers licence you will then receive a “Notice of Suspension of Driving Privileges”. You can use this form as your interim ‘drivers licence’ until the administrative hearing regarding your DWI/DUI court case has been heard.
You will be notified personally as to the time and date of your administrative hearing prior to the event. (In most cases! There have been the odd situations where a letter has not arrived for various reasons)
DUI and DWI laws are quite complex and detailed. Most people aren’t aware of the defense reasons available to them, this is why most will need a DUI attorney or DWI lawyer. The most trusted and experienced lawyers will fight for your rights during what is at times a frightening, emotional and lengthy court action.
In most states there are free DUI Layer and DWI attorney consultation services available to residents.

In addition, the laptop bag has plenty of storage through multiple compartments. From business card sections, multi-zip large sections as well as document holding at the bag – it’s also able to be secured using small locks.
The Targus brand have been around slightly longer in the notebook 17 bag world and have a wide range. From business to also cost effective casual use, their bags are a good ‘middle of the market’ mix which appeal to most users. Their build quality while acceptable is slightly down on the Belkin – but in any case, will suit normal use applications. They has basic notebook bags, but generally they are looking to capture the young, trendy user that whats to look different to the crowd. These units are typically very basic in their construction and are aimed at limited use only. Their price tag also reflects this as they are a low cost unit.
Finally, NUO-TECH another new player now make a canvas laptop 17 bag with great potential. A fairly durable unit, that is ultimately easy to carry and extremely comfortable to carry long distances. Halflife Cheats
Many gamers were so pumped about this shoot em up, they delved into cheats, hacks, scripts and tips. Hence – the Half Life Cheats blog was created. Use the tau cannon like a murdered, shoot bows from your arrow and kill quiet or just blast your way around the map with machine gun and grenades.
The team fortress classic portion of the game, later halflife2 death match revamp and the new steam interface have the kept the gaming going in its new format. While not at the top of the game.

Hobowars
The gameplay within Hobowars varies differently from our recent tests on Evony, Sea Dogs and other web based gaming franchies. Hobowars still has some crisp visuals, (the graphics are actually very similar to those in Grand Theft Auto).
Developed by ‘Hellbored’ entertainment, it seems the biggest market for the likes of ‘Hobowars’ and ‘Hobowars2′ is from kids at school. These gamer kids get plenty of time in front of the browser and the competition factor of ‘outranking’ their friends is a massive driving force not just for Hobowars, but for any online gaming franchise.
Ok, more about the Hobowars gameplay -
Your first reaction from this game will more than likely be laughter. You signup and you’re soon picking your hobo character. Pick a bald guy, fat guy, skinny guy, daggy dressed guy – choose whatever you like.
Once you’ve chosen and saved your Hobowars Character, it’s time to understand the general gameplay and ‘goal’ of the game.
The whole point of Hobowars is to ‘fight’ or ‘battle’ your gaming opponents, or fellow hobos. A successful battle gains you money in the game and more respectability (if a hobo can have much of that!)
From the trolley boy at Walmart, to a homeless guy on the street, taking him on to earn money is critical to progressing in Hobowars. Regardless of victory or defeat, you will no doubt suffer injuries and healing is a big part of the game also.
The fighting will be extended to gangs as you are invited to link with larger groups for the common mugging cause.
In addition, you’ve got to eat right? So trips to KFC and other food outlets in this game are a must for the Hobos.
Overall, Hobowars is probably a ‘mini-Grand Theft Auto’ but in browser format. So that means, a lot more text and less raw motion graphics. Ok, so that won’t be for every gamer, but the ability to multi-play in Hobowars is very very cool.
Taking on your school friends in the game or battling someone online to increase your ranking is attractive to anyway. (Even a hobowars or hobowars2 player!)
Wait for it, you can even get weapons in this game! And some of the weapon types are quite laughable. At the lower end, the Hobo character can buy a plastic cup, plastic spoon right through to rocks, rubber knives and even rags!
Don’t stress though, successful Hobowars players can climb the rankings and eventually afford cool guns and other weapons such as: AK47, M16 and Shotguns.
But there are some other interesting aspects of Hobowars that show some tuition to young gamers. The game rewards players for collecting cans and recycling, but also a hobo character cannot progress unless he ‘learns’ so attending school and improving is a crucial part of this free online web game. (This includes, primary school, high school and university)
The progressions and rankings in Hobowars are taken very seriously it seems.
Scams, bots, hacks and cheats for Hobowars are heavily targeted by the game developer and owner ‘Hellbored Entertainment’ they have plenty of rules and discussion around this, and also touch on sharing accounts in the game (illegal) and playing multiple characters in the game (also illegal)
So stick to the rules folks!
Overall, a great laugh and Hobowars is something that must be seen by a good range of gamers. Sure, RTS and MMORPG hardcores probably will get bored quickly, but certainly give it time and join the game with friends, it makes it much more interesting to watch progress over the following weeks.

Axel LaVerne '15 pound baby'
Some numbers are just too big to register. It was like that when Wendi Dolton heard a doctor say the number '15.6' moments after giving birth to her third child on Monday. She thought at first he was referring to the time. The Racine, Minnesota parents named their baby boy Axel LaVerne.
For now Axel is in neonatal intensive care at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. His parents say he's being monitored for a heart condition associated with premature birth. That's right. Alex arrived by Cesarean section, three weeks early.

Palm Island justice denied
Five years on, no independent investigation into the police role in the death has been held.
In 2006, Deputy State Coroner Christine Clements slammed the police’s investigation into the death as lacking "transparency, objectivity and independence". She found Hurley was responsible for Mulrunji’s death, but Hurley was later acquitted of manslaughter by an all-white Townsville jury in 2007.
Aboriginal activists said the acquittal was the result of a police cover-up and demanded Hurley be brought to justice.
The Queensland Court of Appeal later overturned Clements’ finding and a second coronial inquest into Mulrunji’s death has been ordered for March 8.

Agriflu : new flu vaccine
The vaccine was approved using an accelerated approval process, the FDA said. Novartis demonstrated that the vaccine induces levels of antibodies in the blood that are effective in preventing seasonal influenza, but it still needs to conduct further studies.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Friday it has approved a new vaccine to prevent seasonal influenza. Agriflu, made by Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, is not intended to protect against the H1N1 virus, commonly known as swine flu. Agriflu, for ages 18 and older, is administered as a single injection in the upper arm and is available in single-dose, prefilled syringes, according to the FDA.
Although no vaccine is 100 percent effective in preventing disease, vaccination is the key to flu prevention, according to the FDA. Novartis spokesman Eric Althoff said Agriflu is made in Siena, Italy, with eggs, and it has been available in Europe under the brand name Aggripal. This approval, he said, will add to future seasonal vaccine supplies.

breast cancer anecdote
Cut to 2009 and the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, a government appointed entity that, in its new guidelines, tells us that women need not get regular mammograms until they're 50 and older -- and that those specific self-exam instructions are no longer recommended. Of course they have a study to back this up, a piece of information that always reminds me of the fellow who said Washington will spend $5 million on a study to prove a jackass has three ears, if three ears is what politicians need for a jackass to have. Are these new guidelines a push to ration healthcare in a time of increasingly unsustainable healthcare spending? Only a fool would completely discard such a notion. Then again, maybe it's not politics. Maybe it's just whatever the opposite of common sense is.
Carrie Underwood Bikini Photos
Carrie Underwood looks fit and fabulous in bikini photos that were snapped of the former American idol starlet. She seems to have adopted the Courteney Cox pal Jennifer Aniston's way of thinking, if you've got it, flaunt it. Should Jessica Simpson be worried? There are constant reports that Dallas Cowboys signal caller Tony Romo is still a bit interested in his ex Carrie Underwood.
Many believe that when Jessica Simpson put on her now notorious "Real Girls Eat meat' tee-shirt she was attacking Carrie Underwood. The former American idol winner is a vegetarian and her bikini pictures certainly show a very fit Carrie.

Hotel Transylvania
What happens when a world-renowned scientist, crushed by the loss of his eldest daughter, conceives a book which will prove the non-existence of God. This is the story of Charles Darwin and his master-work "The Origin of Species". It tells of a global revolution played out the confines of a small English village; a passionate marriage torn apart by the most dangerous idea in history; and a theory saved from extinction by the logic of a child.

On Friday, Rachel Uchitel said of Ashley Samson, “I’ve met her twice in my life. We’re not friends. I’m just speculating but it seems like someone else is telling her what to say or manipulating her. After all, she got $25,000 for this.” “
Today the Enquirer wrote “Rachel is such a close friend of Ashley’s that she recently invited Ashley to join her and some other pals on a trip to Spain. Billy Crudup
Known as much for his rigorous career choices as for his talent and chiseled good looks, Billy Crudup has been straddling the line between serious actor and "it" leading man for several years. Crudup was born in Manhasset, New York (a Long Island suburb) in 1968, the middle child in a family of three boys. As a youngster he lived in Texas and Florida, finding roles in school pageants and developing funny impersonations to entertain family and friends. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina (where he confirmed his interest in acting), then went on to earn a Master of Fine Arts from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University in 1994. A year later he'd already made a name for himself on Broadway, earning the Outer Critics Circle Outstanding Newcomer Award for his performance in Tom Stoppard's Arcadia.
Crudup's first big-screen acting gig was in the indie film Grind (1997), which was shot in 1994, but ended up on the shelf for three years. In 1996 he landed another, more lucrative role opposite Hollywood hotshots Brad Pitt and Jason Patric in the Barry Levinson drama Sleepers (1996). He followed that up with a brief appearance in Woody Allen's Everyone Says I Love You (1996) and a higher-profile turn as the rakish older brother in Inventing the Abbotts (1997).
A self- described student of human nature, Crudup has said that he looks for characters wrestling with their mistakes. Rumor has it that he declined an audition for the lead in Titanic (1997) in order to seek out more challenging projects--like the Steve Prefontaine biopic Without Limits (1998). "Limits" showcased Crudup's ability to completely transform himself for a role (a quality that would help him skirt stardom while continuing to land substantive parts). In 2000, with three major films in release, Crudup's already bustling movie career reached a fever pitch. He first hit the festival circuit in Keith Gordon's Waking the Dead (2000), the tale of an up-and-coming politician who is haunted by the death of his young wife. Next came the art-house favorite Jesus' Son (1999), in which Crudup played a nomadic soul named F**khead. Finally, he starred as the semi-fictional '70s rocker Russell Hammond in Cameron Crowe's much-lauded Almost Famous (2000).
Crudup lives in New York and returns regularly to the stage - in fact, it was during the 1996 Broadway run of Bus Stop that he began his romance with longtime girlfriend Mary-Louise Parker. That romance ended in 2004, when Crudup left the then-pregnant Parker for his Stage Beauty (2004) co-star, Claire Danes.
He seems to prefer quiet anonymity to the pomp and circumstance of the movie star lifestyle, but his ever-growing popularity guarantees that he won't be able to avoid the spotlight altogether.

Dubai Financial Crisis II
Abu Dhabi, wealthy capital of the United Arab Emirates, will "pick and choose" how to assist debt-laden neighbor Dubai, a senior official said on Saturday, after fears of a Dubai default sent global markets reeling.
"We will look at Dubai's commitments and approach them on a case-by-case basis. It does not mean that Abu Dhabi will underwrite all of their debts," the official in the government of the emirate of Abu Dhabi told Reuters by phone.
Dubai's crisis exploded on Wednesday when the emirate, known for flashy lifestyles and the world's tallest building, said it would delay payment on debt issued by one of its flagship firms, angering investors and sending global markets sharply lower.
Abu Dhabi, which pumps 90 percent of the oil that make the United Arab Emirates the world's third-largest oil exporter, has already provided $15 billion in indirect support for Dubai through the UAE central bank and two private Abu Dhabi banks.
How much more support the emirate provides for its cash-strapped neighbor, however, will depend on how Dubai clarifies its stand on unresolved issues.

Dubai Financial Crisis
Dubai Financial Crisis
The shock news of Dubai's debt problems raised fears of a return to the darkest days of the financial crisis as markets plunged across the globe, but analysts Friday downplayed the long-term risks. Markets in Asia, Europe and the United States stumbled as fears of bad debts bred fresh concern for the world economy after Dubai's shock request to suspend major loan repayments. Shaken investors were holding their breath Friday to see if the unexpected announcement from the once-booming Gulf Emirate would trigger fresh danger for the world economy, akin to the collapse of Lehman Brothers.
The US investment bank's demise in September 2008 sent shock waves around the world and heralded the start of the most painful phase of the global financial crisis. But analysts played down fears that the request from the Dubai government investment vehicle Dubai World to suspend debt payments for six months signalled an end to the global economy's fragile recovery.
The tragedy of the black hole in Dubai’s finances is that it has dealt a blow not only to its own reputation but to that of the United Arab Emirates -- and beyond that to the Arab Gulf as a whole. One might even go so far as to say that it has dealt a painful blow to the entire Arab world.
Until the crisis broke -- with the announcement last Wednesday that Dubai was seeking a six-month moratorium on the debt of Dubai World, its government-owned holding company -- the Arab Gulf was widely recognized as the real success story of the Arab world.
It had become a pole of modernity, of high-finance, of high-tech enterprise, of education and culture, of spectacular universities and museums. It had attracted international attention and admiration.
Above all, the Arab Gulf had become a magnet for tens of thousands of clever, well-educated men and women from other Arab countries, and for hundreds of thousands of Western expatriates attracted by the tax-free salaries and relaxed life-style. In Dubai alone, there are said to be no fewer than 120,000 Britons.
There is no doubt that Dubai is in a financial mess. Its many government enterprises will need restructuring, a process which has already begun. The Emir, Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid al-Maktoum, is evidently taking things more firmly into his own hands. Three key men, closely associated with the city-state’s spectacular growth, have been relieved of their powerful jobs. They are Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, chairman of Dubai World, Mohammad Ali Alabbar, chairman of Emaar, the property giant, and Mohammed al-Gergawi, chairman of Dubai Holding.
The Emirate evidently expanded too fast and ran up heavy debts by embarking on vanity projects of doubtful financial viability, such as the 810 metre-high Burj Dubai skyscraper – the highest in the world -- and the artificial islands built in the shallow waters along its coast, to provide room for miles of luxury villas. These, in particular, could be vulnerable to a rise in sea-levels due to global warming. In view of the hot and humid climate in the Gulf, Dubai’s emphasis on high-class tourism may prove to be a mistake.
One should not, however, be overly pessimistic. In my view at least, the world has been far too quick to suggest that the glossy city-state is about to go bankrupt. This is far too gloomy a prediction. Dubai will undoubtedly weather the storm. It has many assets in many parts of the world, some of which can be swiftly monetised.
Its real advantage, however, lie in its location -- as an international trading and financial hub between East and West -- and in the quality of the people who have chosen to live and work there. These assets are bound to see it through.
Dubai has traditionally had close trading ties with Iran, a short distance away across the Gulf. Entrepot trade has been worth billions of dollars a year. But American pressure on international banks to deny credit to Iran has hampered this trade, and has no doubt been a factor, if a minor one, in the triggering the present financial crisis. A resolution of the West’s quarrel with Iran could be to Dubai’s great advantage.
The key to Dubai’s future lies undoubtedly in its relationship with its neighbour Abu Dhabi, run by the Nahayans, cousins of Dubai’s Maktoums. While Dubai has no oil, Abu Dhabi sits on one tenth of the world’s oil deposits and has built up a massive sovereign wealth fund estimated at $900bn. Abu Dhabi is the immensely rich powerhouse of the 7-member United Arab Emirates.
Will Abu Dhabi abandon Dubai in its hour of need? The idea is inconceivable. This does not mean that Abu Dhabi will give Dubai a blank cheque. Although it has no legal liability to come to Dubai’s aid, there is every reason to believe that it must eventually do so. The two emirates are bound together by a thousand ties of kinship and shared economic, financial and political interests. If Dubai were to go bankrupt, Abu Dhabi itself would not escape the backlash.
The real question, therefore, is the price Abu Dhabi will demand to bail out its imprudent neighbour. The price is likely to be political as well as economic -- that is to say Dubai may lose some of its independence as well as having to part with an equity stake in some of its major assets.

Tommy Lynn Sells
Sells and his twin sister, Tammy Jean, contracted meningitis[citation needed] when they were 18 months old. While Sells suffered a high fever, he survived. His sister, however, died from the inflammation. Shortly thereafter, Sells was sent to live with his aunt Bonnie Woodall in Holcomb, Missouri. He lived with Woodall until he was five.
When Sells was eight he began spending time with a man from a neighboring city named Willis Clark, who would later be suspected of child molestation.
Sells started traveling in order to find work. Because he was homeless at the time, he hitched rides, hopped trains and at one point stole a vehicle. He held several different jobs, often doing menial labor.
Murders
Sells claims he committed his first murder at age 16.
While working as a carny in Missouri during the summer of 1985 Sells met 29 year old, Ena Cordt. According to Sells, Cordt invited him to her home where they had consensual sex. The bodies of Cordt and her four-year-old son were found three days later.
Sells is suspected as the perpetrator for the following crimes:
* The murder of Suzanne Korcz in New York during May 1987
* The November 1987 murder of the Dardeen family in Illinois.
* Killing a co-worker in Texas during April 1998.
* The murder of Katy Harris in Texas in 1999. v
Sells has recently claimed to have killed upwards of 70 people, according to an interview with Columbia University forensic psychiatrist and personality expert Dr. Michael H. Stone in Discovery Channel's Most Evil.
On December 31, 1999, in the Guajia Bay subdivision, west of Del Rio, Texas, Sells fatally stabbed 13-year-old Kaylene 'Katy' Harris 16 times and slit the throat of 10-year-old Krystal Surles. Surles survived and received help from her neighbors. Ultimately, Sells was apprehended using a sketch from the victim's description.
Tommy Lynn Sells is currently on death row in Livingston, Texas.

USC's late score against UCLA
After 59 minutes of mostly boring, inept and slightly less boring and less inept football, the final minute of USC's 28-7 victory over UCLA on Saturday night at a stunned Coliseum made it all worthwhile.
A series that hasn't felt like much of a rivalry for the last decade suddenly became a great one as UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel and USC coach Pete Carroll engaged in a sequence of gutsy moves that had their teams playing a nationally televised game of over the line.
Neither team ever quite crossed that line, but did it come close, and boy was it fun to see some heat generated in what's been a mostly cold, dormant rivalry.

Neither team ever quite crossed that line, but did it come close, and boy was it fun to see some heat generated in what's been a mostly cold, dormant rivalry.
Rick Neuheisel
He played his college football at UCLA, beginning his career as a walk-on, holding placekicks for John Lee.
He was the starting quarterback in his senior year in the 1983 season. UCLA opened with a loss at Georgia, a tie with Arizona State and then a 42-10 loss at #1-ranked Nebraska. Neuheisel was benched after the Nebraska loss in favor of Steve Bono. On October 1st, the Bruins lost to BYU to start the season 0-3-1. Bono was injured during the Stanford game, and Neuheisel came back to finish the season.[3] Neuheisel led the Bruins to an eventual 6-4-1 record, culminating with a win over arch-rival USC that, combined with Washington State's upset of Washington, gave UCLA the Pac-10 championship in 1983 and sent them to the Rose Bowl on January 2, 1984.
Neuheisel led the Bruins to a 45–9 victory over 4th-ranked (& heavily-favored) Illinois in the 1984 Rose Bowl, in which he was named the MVP; two of his four touchdown passes were caught by a sophomore wide receiver from San Diego named Karl Dorrell, Neuheisel's immediate predecessor as the UCLA Head Football Coach.[4] The victory vaulted the Bruins, unranked through most of the season, into the top 25 in wire service polls. Much like his rise to stardom at UCLA, the road to the victory was a bumpy one. Neuheisel and two other players on the defensive side of the ball suffered from food poisoning hours before the Rose Bowl and it was unsure that Neuheisel would start. Neuheisel would end up starting the game. He also set an NCAA record that year for single game pass completion percentage (since broken) by completing 25 of 27 passes (92.6%) in a Pac-10 win over Washington.
He was named to the Pac-10 All-Academic team and graduated from UCLA in May 1984 with a B.A. in political science and a 3.4 GPA. Neuheisel still holds the UCLA single season record for completion percentage, completed 185 of 267 passes (69.3%) for 2,245 yards in the 1983 season. He was also a member of Sigma Nu fraternity while a student.
In 1998, Neuheisel was inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame.
Neuheisel had his first win on September 1 with the Bruins as they defeated No. 18 Tennessee 27-24. The win came in overtime as Tennessee's field goal try sailed wide left.[23] However, the team's newfound momentum would come grinding to a halt in successive weeks. A brutal 59-0 defeat on the road at the hands of No. 18 BYU was followed by a disappointing 31-10 loss at home to unranked Arizona in the Bruins' Pac-10 opener. The UCLA offense failed to score a touchdown in either contest. The team finished the season 4-8 (3-6 in conference).
Despite this record, Neuheisel was still able to sell the program and secure the #5 class in the nation by Scout.com. The class was headlined by two former USC commits, Morrell Presley and Randall Carroll. Neuheisel also demonstrated impressive recruiting closure, finishing with offensive linemen Xavier Sua-Filo and Stan Hasiak as well as running back Damien Thigpen on the last day—a huge boost to the team's offensive line as well as the overall team speed.
Neuheisel will be one of several college football coaches participating on the 2009 Armed Forces Entertainment college football "Coaches Tour" to help rally U.S. servicemen and women in the Middle East and Europe and show appreciation for their efforts. They will go to U.S. military installations in Germany, Turkey, Spain, Iraq and Djbouti (Africa)

Urban Meyer the Most Important Gator
The Essential Gator was getting closer now, the yards clipping beneath his feet as he approached, the noise rising with every step he took.
The game was over, if you can still refer to these Florida-FSU get-togethers as games, and all that remained was the approval. After all, this was the guy who had enabled all of the celebrations the past few seasons.
And so, on a brisk November night, he ran toward an end zone filled with fans wearing blue jerseys. The crowd called his name, and fans waved their posters, and the sound of it all was a bit like gratitude.
In 2004, Meyer was recognized as the college football "coach of the year" by both sportswriters (Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year) and television commentators (Home Depot Coach of the Year Award). He has 20 years of college coaching experience, including eight as a head coach. His overall record as a head coach through the end of the 2008 season is 83–17, and he is 41–13 in conference play. His winning percentage (.830) ranks second nationally among active college coaches.
Meyer is a devout Roman Catholic and, on several occasions, has referred to the head coaching position at the University of Notre Dame as his "dream job", leading to speculation that he would someday wish to coach there. However, according to a July 2009 newspaper report, Meyer insisted he would never leave Florida for Notre Dame . And when the employment status of Irish coach Charlie Weis came into question in November of 2009, Meyer held a press conference to dispel rumors linking him to the possible opening, stating that he would remain at Florida for "as long as they’ll have me.”
Meyer spent one season interning as a defensive backs coach at Saint Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1985, where he met members of the Ohio State coaching staff. His first collegiate coaching position was a two-year stint as a graduate assistant at Ohio State. He then spent the next 13 years as an assistant—two at Illinois State, six at Colorado State, and five at Notre Dame.
After two seasons at Bowling Green, he took the job at Utah in 2003. In his first year there, Meyer was named the Mountain West Conference's Coach of the Year with a 10–2 record, the best ever for a coach's first season at Utah.
Meyer is widely considered one of the most accomplished practitioners of the spread offense. When Meyer got his first head coaching position at Bowling Green, he took trips to visit John L. Smith and Scott Linehan at Louisville, Randy Walker and Kevin Wilson at Northwestern, Bill Snyder at Kansas State, Joe Tiller and Jim Chaney at Purdue, and Rich Rodriguez at West Virginia, all of whom ran some version of the spread offense.
Urban Meyer's teams at Bowling Green, Utah, and now Florida have all run the spread, chiefly utilizing a run-first variation most similar to Rich Rodriguez's at West Virginia with tweaks to fit the offensive personnel (for example, Meyer's first two years at Florida skewed toward a drop-back passing attack led by Chris Leak, while Alex Smith and Tim Tebow led an option run-based spread). Using this offense, he has won two BCS titles, become the first coach to lead a non-BCS conference team (Utah) to a BCS bowl, has coached a Heisman trophy winner (Tim Tebow),[28] and has graduated a player who became a number one overall draft pick (Alex Smith).

Bob Stoops, Notre Dame should go?
It will take a guy like Bob Stoops to restore it. Now there's a proven leader of young men who has emerged as the university's No. 1 choice for good reason.
With a friendly schedule and talent in place, Stoops could promise his next class of Irish recruits they will play in a national title game, and it wouldn't sound like blarney.
A pregame broadcast report speculated Stoops would be on his way to South Bend as early as Sunday. The only confirmation Irish fans wanted to hear was the time to meet Stoops' jet at the airport.
"We haven't talked to anybody, we haven't authorized anybody to talk to anybody. You don't have to ask me about A, B, C or D -- not one of them is true," Swarbrick said.

Rachel Uchitel, Tiger Woods Media Story
Rachel Uchitel was linked to Tiger Woods this week by the National Enquirer. Few believed at the time that Woods, one of the richest and most famous athletes in the world, would cheat on his gorgeous wife, Elin Nordegren, with Uchitel. Then came Woods’ mysterious “accident” Friday morning.
The mainstream media, for the most part, initially left Rachel Uchitel out of the equation. While bloggers and the twitter masses speculated the obvious, the mainstream media didn’t veer from the police reports. Enter TMZ around midnight:
Is TMZ just speculating the obvious, or was it able to procure this information from someone in the hospital? TMZ has a history of paying off cops and hospital workers for information, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone if this is how it went down. What would surprise us is that Tiger actually told anyone this information.

We’re told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We’re told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV — but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.
We’re told Woods became “distracted,” thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree.
We’re also told Woods had said during the conversation Friday he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene.

Rachel uchitel, Tiger woods major story
Rachel Uchitel became a major story on Wednesday, when rumors that the 34-year-old was having an affair with Tiger Woods began to circulate. The rumors have picked up steam after the circumstances surrounding Woods' car accident raised more questions than they answered.
Uchitel continues to deny the affair. She told the New York Post that the rumors are "completely untrue."
Nevertheless, she said, "this is nothing to do with me. We have never had an affair, and the claims we did are completely false. We have never had an affair, talked on the phone or sent any type of text, sexy or not.
She denied the National Enquirer story that sparked the rumors to BlackBookMag.com as well:
"I totally deny the Enquirer story. They did contact me about it, but they didn't use any of my quotes or any of the information I gave them. They make it sound like I said those things, but it's all other people saying I said things."
The Enquirer is standing by its story and has released additional details.

Toby Gerhart in the 2010 NFL Draft
Gerhart, who rushed for 205 yards, scored his third touchdown with 59 seconds left to lead the Cardinal (8-4) and left Notre Dame with a bitter four-game losing streak. The Heisman Trophy hopeful also threw for a touchdown on a crucial fourth-down play midway through the quarter that led Stanford's rally in the final nine minutes.
When Michael Thomas batted down Clausen's pass in the end zone on the final play, the Cardinal ended a seven-game losing streak to the Fighting Irish.
After Notre Dame dominated the Stanford defense for three quarters, the players finally held when their team needed it the most.
Toby Gerhart (born March 28, 1987 in Norco, California) is a running back and an outfielder at Stanford University. Gerhart is considered a top prospect in the 2010 NFL Draft,as well as the Heisman Trophy.
Gerhart had a successful career at running back for Norco High School in Norco, California. As of December 2005, Gerhart has had the third highest career total of running yards in national high school football history with 9,662 yards. He led Norco High School to the CIF Division 5 Southern Section football championship on December 9, 2005. Gerhart also played baseball and did well academically. High-school football scouting website Scout.com named him the 40th-best running back prospect in the nation.
Gerhart's high school statistics garnered him interest from many top college football programs, but he ultimately committed to Stanford. He was initially competing with Anthony Kimble for the starting halfback role, but was rewarded with the official starting spot during the fourth game of the 2006 season (against UCLA). In 2007, he only played in one game, against San Jose State, in which he rushed for 141 yards. In 2008, Gerhart broke the Stanford single-season rushing record with 1,136 yards to go along with 16 touchdowns. On September 26, 2009, he became only the eighth person in Stanford history to rush for 200 yards in a game, with 200 yards on 27 carries against Washington. On November 7, 2009, Gerhart recorded his second 200-yard game of the season, running for 223 yards against the 7th-ranked Oregon Ducks, breaking the Stanford single-game rushing record previously held by Jon Volpe. On November 28th, Gerhart ran for 205 yards, and 3 rushing touchdowns in a 45-38 win over Notre Dame. This was his third 200-yard game of the season. Through 12 games in the 2009 season, Gerhart has 1736 yards and 26 touchdowns.
Gerhart is a starting outfielder for the Cardinal baseball team. He passed up the opportunity to play professional baseball after the 2009 season to return for his senior year at Stanford.

Ladder 49 - Movie
The film opens with Jack Morrison (Phoenix) saving a man's life in a burning warehouse in Locust Point (Baltimore). However, the grain being stored in the warehouse explodes, sending Jack tumbling several floors where he breaks his leg. The film follows the efforts of the other men in his unit lead by Deputy Chief Mike Kennedy (Travolta), his longtime mentor, to rescue him while Jack tries to reach a safe area of the burning structure. Interspersed with the current rescue efforts are a series of flashbacks showing how Jack joined the fire department, his meeting with the woman who would become his wife, his relationship with his children, and the bond he formed with his fellow firefighters.
After some time working with the firefighting unit (Engine 33) Jack takes a position as a search and rescue member (who enter the burning buildings to locate and rescue people trapped by the fire) on Ladder 49, making his work much more dangerous and challenging as the years pass. (Engine 33 and Ladder 49 are kept at the same firehouse, Engine 33 Co, and Mike Kennedy is then only a Captain). He finds the work rewarding, but his wife is initially concerned for his safety and opposes the change; however, she eventually accepts his new role and even talks him out of taking an administrative position when it is offered to him. He suffers some traumatic experiences, such as the loss of a friend in the line of duty, and also another friend's severe injury while searching for victims. One night he is able to break through to a small girl trapped in a burning apartment, but is trapped himself briefly before being rescued. Both he and his colleague receive the Medal of Valor for their actions.
Back at the grain building fire the efforts by Jack's fellow firefighters are extremely determined, and Jack does his best to reach the possible safe area that Mike told him about. However, upon reaching that room he sees that the only exit is cut off by raging flames, and Jack realizes that his situation is hopeless. He radios Mike to pull his men back, so no one else will be hurt while trying to rescue him. Mike reluctantly agrees, and Jack accepts his fate to die in the fire. At Jack's funeral, Mike delivers an emotional eulogy which receives a standing ovation from friends and family in attendance. Jack's body is then carried to his resting place with full honors. The film ends with Mike and fellow firefighters going on a call and a final shot of him and Jack coming out of his first ever burning building since joining the department.
Ladder 49 is a 2004 drama film about the rescue of Baltimore firefighter Jack Morrison who is trapped inside of a structure fire, and his recollection of the events that got him to that point. The movie is a celebration of the firefighting profession, and the life that comes with it. It was directed by Jay Russell, and stars Joaquin Phoenix and John Travolta.
The film received two nominations for Teen Choice Awards, and won the BMI Film Music Award.

PGAD - Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder
Persistent genital arousal disorder (PGAD) is a newly described disorder that is not yet fully understood or defined. It refers to the experience of persistent feelings of genital arousal (often described as “pelvic tension”) that are not associated with sexual stimulation of any kind, that don’t go away on their own, and that cause the individual pain or distress.
The disorder was originally called persistent sexual arousal syndrome (PSAS) in the literature. The change in terminology was recommended because strictly speaking the problem is not sexual; it’s a problem with the genitals. While PGAD was first written about in the clinical literature in 2001, it is likely something that has been experienced by women for many years in silence.
Symptoms of Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder
Researchers are still describing this phenomenon and no criteria are agreed upon for what is and isn’t PGAD. But the first article to describe PGAD suggests that it should include the following features:
* Experiencing physiological response similar to sexual arousal (such as genital sensitivity or engorgement) that lasts for an extended period of time (from hours to days) and does not go away on its own.
* Physical signs are not related to feeling sexually excited or sexual desire.
* Physical experience may be triggered by nonsexual events or by nothing at all.
* Physical signs of arousal do not go away after orgasm, or may require multiple orgasms to go away
* The experience is considered intrusive and unwanted; and when it persists, can create significant distress.
A more recent paper proposed an additional feature: The experience of spontaneous orgasms which are not brought on by sexual stimulation and are intense.
Causes of PGAD
Not surprisingly, no single cause has yet to be identified. Researchers have proposed everything from neurological to vascular to physical to pharmacological to psychological causes. Several papers and anecdotal reports have proposed a connection between SSRIs and onset of PGAD. A recent case study suggested a connection to dietary intake of phytoestrogens. But not enough documented cases offer anything other than educated guesses at this point.
Treatment
In a review of PGAD, Sandra Lieblum, one author of the original persistent sexual arousal syndrome article, outlines four different courses of treatment that may provide relief. No single treatment has emerged, and it may be that treatments do not completely eliminate the condition. But they may help reduce pain, stress, and discomfort. Treatment options include:
1. Psycho-education and support.
Knowing that you are not alone in your experiences, and that it isn’t “all in your head” or something you should be “thankful” for can go a long way in reducing stress and even symptoms. The support group psas-support is an important resource for anyone living with PGAD.
2. Identifying triggers.
For some women, certain triggers make the pain or discomfort worse. Discovering what the triggers are can make it easier to avoid them.
3. Pelvic massage.
Stretching and pelvic massage which can relax the pelvic floor muscles and increase awareness of stress and tension, may help in reducing pain. A physiotherapist or other healthcare practitioner with experience in pelvic issues may provide some help in this area.
4. Medications.
Given that some medications may be related to onset of PGAD for some women, it is understandable that they may not want to pursue treatment. On the other hand, the experience can be so distressing that some women will take a “whatever works” approach. No single medications are recommended, and Lieblum suggests that finding one that works is a process of trial and error to be done with your physician.
How Common is PGAD?
The original study that analyzed data from women included 103 women, and the survey developed by the researchers has now been filled out by over 400 women online (as of October 2006). While it is likely that the experience of persistent genital arousal is rare, given the lack of emphasis put on sexual health in our culture, it’s possible that the disorder is more common than researchers think it is.
Whether or not it is rare, the fact is that for women living with PGAD the symptoms can cause extreme distress and have a significant negative impact both on their sexuality and their entire lives. Hopefully researchers will continue to investigate this condition, and women will continue to speak up and not suffer in silence.

Max Hall Postgame Comments
Maybe Max Hall was at least partially right in his post game comments, “(The Utes) didn’t deserve to win! Sure the Ute offense scored 17 fourth quarter points and tied up the game in the final minute to send it into overtime. In classic Max Hall “take-that” style, the BYU quarterback blasted the University of Utah – not just the football program, mind you – for being classless.Responding to a series of my questions after the Cougars beat Utah 26-23 in overtime Saturday, Hall released all the emotion that obviously has been bottled up since he threw five interceptions in last season’s loss at Rice Eccles Stadium. Referring back to that game, Hall said Ute fans tossed beer on his family and generally harassed them.
Tommy Lynn Sells serial killer
On Dec. 30, 1999, a drifter named Tommy Lynn Sells broke into a home in Del Rio, Texas, and brutally killed 13-year-old Kaylene Harris. Krystal Surles, 10 years old at the time, had her throat slit by Sells but managed to escape and go for help.
Through a sketch artist, Krystal helped authorities create a profile of her attacker that eventually led to Sells' capture. She also became the star witness in Sells' capital murder trial.
While under arrest for the murder of Kaylene, Sells shocked authorities when he freely admitted that he had been criss-crossing the country for 20 years, murdering men, women and children.
His confession to a multiple murder in Illinois may have closed a 13-year-old case for authorities there. In 1987, Elaine Dardeen, seven months pregnant at the time, and her 3-year-old son, Peter, were found bludgeoned to death in their home.

In 1987, Elaine Dardeen, 7 months pregnant at the time, and her 3-year-old boy, Peter, were discovered shillelaghed to death in their home. The shock of the assault caused Elaine to give birth. The newly born girl, who authorities believe was alive at the time, was also clubbed to death. Elaine’s partner, Keith, was discovered dead in a nearby field, shot in the head. “How you can kill a 3-year-old and also kill a newborn child, that just goes past explanation,” announces Investigator John Kemp who originally analyzed the case.
Sells has confessed to scores of murders.
To date, authorities have conclusively linked him to 13 murders, including those of Haley McHone, thirteen, of Lexington, Ky, and Mary Perez, nine, of San Antonio, Texas. And since this story was first broadcast early in 2001, authorities have linked him to extra cases. “We do not have an exact number. We are not so gauche as to believe we’ll ever have an actual number,” claims Texas Ranger Johnny Allen, one of the investigators of the Kaylene Harris murder.
The Rangers have worked closely with authorities in other states, even taking Sells to other locations so he could show police where he buried a body or disposed of a murder weapon. Sells, in a case supported by the emotional affidavit of Krystal Surles, was at last found guilty of capital murder in the Kaylene Harris case. After just two hours of thought, the jury returned with a sentence of death.
After the trial, Krystal related the sole good thing to come out of her trial with Sells is “that he was caught and that nobody else will get hurt from him.” Sells ha snow bene move dto Death Row, but Texas has an automated appeal in capital cases, so it might be years before an execution date is even set. For investigators, one downside is a Texas state law that restricts Death Row inmates from leaving jail. It’s no longer possible for Sells to show investigators in other states where all of the bodies are buried.

The Wrestler
The Wrestler is a 2008 drama film directed by Darren Aronofsky, written by Robert D. Siegel, and starring Mickey Rourke, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, and Ernest Miller. Production began in January 2008, and the film premiered at the 2008 Venice Film Festival in August, winning the Golden Lion Award. Fox Searchlight Pictures acquired rights to distribute the film in the U.S.; it was released in a limited capacity on December 17, 2008 and was released nationwide on January 23, 2009.
The Wrestler was released on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on April 21, 2009 in the United States. It was released in the United Kingdom on June 1, 2009. Randy "The Ram" Robinson (Mickey Rourke), is a professional wrestler who was a celebrity in the 1980s, however, by the 1990's his popularity had declined. He is now past his prime and wrestling on the weekends for various independent promotions in the Elizabeth, New Jersey, area. After a show, a promoter proposes a 20th anniversary rematch with his most notable opponent, the Ayatollah (Ernest Miller), who now owns a used car dealership in Arizona. Their last match sold out Madison Square Garden, and Randy agrees to the rematch.
Randy goes home and is locked out of his trailer for not paying the rent; we learn that he loads boxes at a supermarket and that his boss, Wayne (Todd Barry), does not hold him in high esteem. He frequents a strip club where he has befriended a faded stripper named Pam, stage-named Cassidy (Marisa Tomei). He continues the training rituals for his wrestling appearance, including steroid use and tanning. At his next show, Randy wrestles a brutal hardcore match with Necro Butcher (Dylan Summers). Post-match, Randy is treated for his wounds backstage, but he suffers a heart attack soon after and collapses.
Randy ultimately receives a coronary artery bypass and he is warned by the doctor that his weakened heart cannot stand the stresses of steroids or wrestling. Randy cancels his upcoming matches and begins working as a deli counter operator at the supermarket. He tells Cassidy about his heart attack and tries to woo her while out for a drink. She warms to him at first and tells him about her son, but when Randy gets too close she leaves.
At Cassidy's suggestion, Randy visits his estranged daughter, Stephanie (Evan Rachel Wood), whom he had left years before. She curses him and tells him to leave her alone. Randy returns later with a gift suggested to him by Cassidy, and apologizes for being a bad father. The two bond over a visit to an abandoned beachfront boardwalk, and they agree to meet for dinner on that coming Saturday.
Randy goes to Cassidy's strip club to thank her; she once more rejects his overtures. Dejected, Randy attends a wrestling match as a spectator and receives the attention he was seeking from Cassidy from his fans and fellow wrestlers. After watching the match, Randy gets drunk with his friends, snorts cocaine, and has sex with a woman he meets at a bar, sleeping the entire next day and missing his dinner date with Stephanie. He goes to her house in the middle of the night, but she tells him that she never wants to see or hear from him again.
Randy goes to work at the supermarket deli counter, where a fan recognizes him. Embarrassed by his job, Randy cuts himself in the deli meat slicer, screams at his boss, and quits.
Randy calls the promoter to reschedule the previously canceled Ayatollah match and sets out for the venue, despite his doctor's warnings. Before the match, Cassidy unexpectedly arrives and apologizes, urging him not to wrestle for the sake of his health. She tells him, "I'm here. I'm really here", showing that he is no longer alone. Randy explains that the real world is where he gets hurt, and the only place he belongs is in the ring.
Randy enters the ring and gives an emotional speech to the crowd before the fight begins. During the physical exertion of the match, Randy begins to feel angina, but continues despite the Ayatollah's pleas for Randy to pin him. Randy pushes through the pain and climbs to the top turnbuckle. As he does so, he notices that Cassidy is not there. Randy prepares to dive off and deliver his signature finishing move, a diving headbutt called the "Ram Jam." Brought to tears, he salutes the cheering crowd and leaps from the ropes as the screen cuts to black.

Actor Nicolas Cage entered negotiations in October 2007 to star as Randy. The following month, Cage left the project after attending a Ring of Honor show in New York City, and Mickey Rourke replaced the actor in the lead role. According to Aronofsky, Cage pulled out of the movie because Aronofsky wanted Rourke as the lead character. Aronofsky stated that Cage was "a complete gentleman, and he understood that my heart was with Mickey and he stepped aside. I have so much respect for Nic Cage as an actor and I think it really could have worked with Nic but, you know, Nic was incredibly supportive of Mickey and he is old friends with Mickey and really wanted to help with this opportunity, so he pulled himself out of the race."

James Maslow, one of the show's handsome and talented young stars. Big Time Rush follows the adventures of a fledgling boy band formed after a national American Idol-esque talent search, and Maslow plays James Diamond opposite Kendall Schmidt, Logan Henderson, and Carlos Pena. The show will premiere with a sneak peak on Saturday, November 28 (at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT), before joining the Nick lineup fulltime in early 2010. And the show itself will be just a single element in a full-on Big Time Rush assault that will also include an album and a tour.
PopStar recently caught up with Maslow, 19, who filled us in on his background, previewed the show, and addressed all those heavy-breathing young ladies who are already comparing him to Zac Efron.

Nickelodeon’s “Big Time Rush”
La Jolla resident James Maslow flew the coop a few years ago, and is on the fast track to stardom after a childhood training his voice and theatrical skills in San Diego.
Maslow, 18, stars in Nickelodeon’s “Big Time Rush,” a scripted show about four boys from Minnesota who are given the opportunity to prove themselves in the Hollywood music industry. The show’s preview airs Saturday, Nov. 28 at 8:30 p.m.
As a child, Maslow sang everywhere, all of the time but was not particularly pleased when his parents “threw him” in the San Diego Choir to formally train when he was 6 years old. (Maslow said his parents are not musical themselves). Maslow resented the structure at first but quickly decided to dedicate himself to his life’s passions: singing and acting.
Big Time Rush is an upcoming Nickelodeon television series, partnered with Sony Music Entertainment, that will premiere in early 2010. It will be about friendship and brotherhood that chronicles the finding, making and breaking-of a potential chart topping boy band. Original music will be incorporated with the series, due to its partnership with Sony Music.
16-year-old Kendall is inadvertently discovered by eccentric record executive Gustavo Rocque during a nationwide casting call and must choose between staying home in Minnesota with his friends and pursuing a singing career in Hollywood. Not seeing himself as a solo act, Kendall strikes a deal with the Hollywood image-maker and agrees to undergo "pop group boot camp" training in exchange for giving his best friends - James, Logan, and Carlos - the opportunity to be in a music group with him. The boys travel with Kendall's mom and younger sister from the snowy Midwest to sunny Los Angeles, where they move into the Palm Woods, a swanky temporary housing development where entertainment companies house their budding new talent. But the boys soon learn that life in Hollywood is not all about hanging at the pool and attending late-night parties: they quickly realize they have a very short window to prove to themselves and their record label that they are

Jingle All the Way
Howard Langston (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is often busy at his job, and has a hard time finding time for his wife, Liz (Rita Wilson) and his young son, Jamie (Jake Lloyd) - especially when compared to next door superdad divorcé, Ted Maltin (Phil Hartman). After breaking his word again by missing Jamie's karate grading (from blue to purple), Howard resolves to redeem himself and his marriage by fulfilling Jamie's ultimate Christmas wish, an action figure of Turbo-Man, a popular children TV superhero.
Unfortunately, as is the habit with him, Howard had promised to buy that figure earlier that year and then promptly forgotten about it. To make things even harder, Turbo-Man toys are the must-have gifts of the season, and stocks of Turbo-Man toys are quickly drying up all over the country. Desperate not to disappoint his family again, Howard embarks on an epic city-wide quest to find the toy everyone's looking for. Along the way, Howard encounters Myron Larabee (Sinbad), a postal worker dad with a rival ambition, and the two quickly become bitter competitors in their race for the action figure. The chase begins to arise the ire of a police officer whom Howard keeps running into; Howard desperately hooks up with a band of brand-spoofing crooks and ends up thrashing them; and ultimately, both Howard and Myron cross paths in a false-advertising radio station and end up accidentally blowing up an entire room with one of Myron's letter bombs to escape from the police. In addition, Ted attempts to hit on Liz, which she eventually turns down hard.
The search climaxes with both Howard and Myron coincidentally masquerading as live action stuntmen in a department store parade. As the "real" Turbo-Man, Howard uses the opportunity to present a coveted limited-edition Turbo-Man doll to his son in the crowd. But before he can recognize his dad, Jamie is chased around the parade by Myron, dressed as Turbo-Man's archnemesis, Dementor. Jamie is ultimately saved by Turbo-Man, who reveals himself as his father, while Myron is arrested, all the while ranting about how he will explain the situation to his son.
Touched by Myron's undying dedication to his own son, Jamie relinquishes the doll to him and confesses that his dad is the only superhero he needs. In the final scene (after the film's end credits have finished) Howard puts the star on his tree and shares a happy moment with his family - until Liz asks him what he got for her. This causes Howard to look at the camera with a look of horror on his face, as he realizes he forgot to get Liz a gift.
Jingle All the Way is a 1996 family comedy film directed by Brian Levant and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sinbad. The name is taken from a line in the Christmas song "Jingle Bells". This is the last comedy to date that Schwarzenegger starred in. Schwarzenegger received a salary of $15 million for his role in the film.

The Devil and Daniel Webster
The Devil and Daniel Webster is a short story by Stephen Vincent Benét. This retelling of the classic German Faust tale is based on the short story "The Devil and Tom Walker", written by Washington Irving. Benet's version of the story centers on a New Hampshire farmer who sells his soul to the Devil and is defended by Daniel Webster.
The story was published in 1937 by Farrar & Rinehart. In 1938, it appeared in The Saturday Evening Post and won an O. Henry award that same year. The author would adapt it in 1938 into a folk opera with music by Douglas Stuart Moore, a fellow alumnus of Yale University, member Wolf's Head Society, the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and winner of a Pulitzer Prize. Benét also worked on the screenplay adaptation for the 1941 RKO Pictures film. (wikipedia)
