Sylvi Trembath, talks Madeleine McCann’s investigation and Portuguese police corruption

Sylvi Trembath Said:
How is it that the Portuguese Police focus on the McCann family when there is more reason to suspect the own corruption?

Goncalo Amaral and four other Portuguese police officers were recently charged with offences relating to the inquiry into the disappearance of Joana Cipriano from a village seven miles from where Madeleine was abducted.

Portugal’s Ministerio Publico, the district attorney, confirmed that it had charged three police officers with torture, a fourth with omission of evidence and a fifth with falsification of documents. It did not reveal who had been charged with which offence.

Despite the charges, Mr Amaral, the co-ordinator of the Policia Judiciaria in Portimao, has not been suspended from working on the Madeleine investigation - How crazy is that!!!

Did we ever get an explanation as to why these Police Officers did what they did to the Cipriano family, apart from wanting her to confess?

Chirutha review, eagerness of the audience

Cast: Ram Charan, Neha Sharma, Tanikella, Ashish Vidyarthi, Prakash Raj, MS Naayana, Daniel Balaji, Brahmanandam, Dharmavarapu, Ali, Venu Madhav etc
Editing: MR Varma
Cinematography: Sham K Naidu
Choreography: Raju Sundaram, Nobel
Art: Chinna
Music: Mani Sharma
Production: Ashwini Dutt
Story, Screenplay, Dialogue, Direction: Puri Jagannath
Release Date: 28th Sep 2007

The D-day has come and the wait stops here. Ram Charan’s debut released and here are the details.

Story:
Charan’s (Ram Charan) father (Surya) gets killed by a gangster Mattu Bhai (Aashish Vidyarthi) in his childhood. His mother also gets severely injured in the same attack. He happens to go behind bars putting the crime on his head for saving his mother with an expensive surgery. He stays in jail for 12 years and then comes out. He learns that his mother was died when he was in jail. He moves to Thailand with the advice of his uncle. There he joins in a travel agency in Bangkok. He happens to escort a rich girl (Neha), the daughter of a rich man Kartikeya (Prakash Raj). He falls in her love by looks but very soon notices that she is arrogant, proud and adamant. He dilutes all her negatives and fills love in her followed by some action episodes. The climax is very well understood. It’s about how he puts an end to Mattu Bhai and quenches his revenge- and how he wins the rich man’s daughter.

Performances:
Ram Charan’s entry scene was composed very well with high dose of heaviness. There is big punch in introduction fight as well. The fight in Thai temples also scores well in his performance. But on a whole he appeared more like Pawan Kalyan in many scenes. Dances are good with some resemblances to his Mega Dad.

Neha is only for glamour quotient and to run the show, but she didn’t do anything marvelous. She is like any other imported stuff.

Prakash Raj and Aashish Vidyarthi are the character and villain characters respectively and they have justified their roles.

The comedy by Ali, Dharmavarapu and MS Narayana is entertaining.

Big score goes to cinematography, graphics, music and sound department. Puri Jaganath didn’t show his punch this time.

Raul Midon, I’d never heard before Jay Leno announced him

I’d never heard of Raul Midon before Jay Leno announced him on The Tonight Show this evening. But, man, from the moment he started playing, I couldn’t do anything but keep my eyes glued to the TV. Well, nothing except to turn it up a bit forcing Bald Man to wander in from the other room and join me in the experience.

I was first drawn to watching him because he seemed to be playing the guitar primarily by tapping on the strings (I’m sure there’s a technical term for that) rather than strumming or picking. But once you start watching, it’s hard to stop. And then when he plays the “trumpet”? Way cool.

K2 meter for the real ghost hunter

K2 meter is a must have tool for the person that really takes ghost hunting serious. The K2 meter used to be pretty cheap but these days the price of a K2 meter has almost triple, the only place I can find a really good K2 meter at a really cheap price, the only down side is that you may have to wait for the bid to end and if you have some spooky shit happening at your house you may need the K2 meter quickly.

The K2 meter measures magnetic fields, and it’s been specially calibrated for paranormal investigations. The theory behind the K2 meter is that if there’s a spirit in the area, the K2 meter will pick up it’s magnetic field. You can then train the spirits, supposedly, to intensify its magnetic field, therefore lighting up the lights on the K2 meter.

Eric Sawyer, kill his 1-year-old nephew

, Eric Sawyer told the cops tonight that he kill his 1-year-old nephew because he believed the boy was possessed.

Eric Sawyer was arrested around 8:30 p.m. tonight after police found his 1-year-old nephew Brandon Cole wrapped in bloody sheets in the laundry room of a home on the 5800 block of Orchard Way in West Palm Beach.

Eric Sawyer told police that he had been thinking about killing the boy for days the cops believed they were responding to the home because of a dog attack but realized it was something more sinister when they found numerous stab wounds and cuts on the baby’s abdomen.

According to the cops, Eric Sawyer was sitting on a couch in the living room of the home when police arrived and found the boy. Upon questioning Eric Sawyer about what happened to the child, Eric Sawyer told police, “I did it,” .

When the responding officer asked Eric Sawyer where the dog was, Eric Sawyer replied, “It’s not a dog, it’s a human,” .

Eric Sawyer was arrested in April of 2006 while having a dispute with his mother, Judy. Police said that Judy told investigators that her son had mental problems and had not been taking his medications.

Eric Sawyer should get the death penalty and if not I am pretty sure the inmates where Eric Sawyer goes will take justice in there own hands.

Kolcraft recalls play yards for infants due to safety

The death of a 10-month old child prompted the Kolcraft recall. 12 different Kolcraft play yards are included in this recall.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Kolcraft Enterprises Inc., of Chicago, Ill., is voluntarily recalling about 425,000 infant play yards following the death of a child.

CPSC received a report of a 10-month old boy who strangled on the changing table’s restraint strap that was hanging down into Kolcraft’s “Sesame Beginnings” Travel Play Yard where the child was located.

Twelve different Kolcraft play yards are included in this recall.

All of the play yards have raised changing tables with a restraint strap that forms a loop beneath the changing table, posing a strangulation hazard to a child in the play yard.

In addition to the strangulation hazard with the changing table restraint strap, one play yard also has a raised cradle that rocks back and forth. A child can roll and get trapped against the side of the cradle in the Contours 3-in-1 Play Yard. If that happens, a child can suffocate.

Kolcraft has received 45 reports of children rolling to the side of the rocking cradle attachment.

The recalled play yards were sold in a variety of colors and patterns. Play yards and model numbers included in this recall are listed in the chart below. The model number is printed on a white sticker located on one of the feet of the play yard. They were manufactured in China.

The play yards were sold at retail stores nationwide from January 2001 through September 2007 for between $50 and $130.

Consumers should immediately stop using the changing tables and rocking cradle and contact the firm for instructions on receiving a free non-looped replacement strap for the changing table and a free repair kit to secure the base of the cradle. Consumers should immediately cut off and remove the existing changing table restraint strap. Consumers should always remove the raised changing table and cradle or bassinet before placing a child in a play yard.

A free repair kit for the rocking cradle will be sent to consumers separate from the replacement strap.

For additional information on Kolcraft Recall of infant Play Yard, call Kolcraft at (888) 655-8484 anytime, or visit the firm’s Web site at www.kolcraft.com

Naegleria, Amoeba Killer in the Lake

Something in the lakes around Orlando, Florida, has claimed the lives of three boys this summer." This thing is just there. Guinness Records, Some of these people have skills

Australian John Allwood smashed 40 watermelons with his head in just one minute.

Using only one hand, Germany's Thomas Vogel unfastened 56 bras in 60 seconds.

When it comes to the world's weirdest achievers, nothing beats the ultimate accolade -- a place in Guinness World Records for demonstrating bizarre skills.

Nothing is too wacky.

Can you catch 77 grapes in your mouth in under a minute, keep nine yo-yo's spinning at the same time, hold your breath for more than 14 minutes or throw a washing machine?

Then Guinness has a spot for you.

The annual compendium, whose latest edition is published on Friday, even has a section entitled Trivial Pursuits.

Few would argue with the title as Guinness lists the globe's finest practitioners at putting the cover on a duvet, kicking yourself in the head and throwing paper aircraft into a bucket.

Italian Michele Santana wins an entry for typing 57 books backwards.

Indian yoga instructor G.P Vijayakumar snorted eight fish up through his mouth and out of his nostrils in a minute.

American Jackie Bibby shared his bath with 75 live western diamondback rattlesnakes.

The latest edition also has a four-page pullout of the world's grossest records.

China's Wei Shengchu gains notoriety for most acupuncture needles in the head and face.

Frenchman Michel Lotito claimed the weirdest diet -- over the years he consumed 128 bicycles and 15 supermarket trolleys which he washed down with six chandeliers, two beds and a pair of skis.

Natasha Veruschka won Guinness immortality by swallowing 13 swords at the Third Annual Sideshow Gathering and Sword Swallowers Convention in Pennsylvania.

Few could equal the bizarre feat of China's Dong Changsheng -- he pulled a 1.5 tonne car using ropes hooked onto his lower eyelids.

In the mass participation category, 3,541 Philippine women in Manila shared the record for the most women ever to have breastfed their babies simultaneously.

The top prize for survival has to go to American park ranger Roy C.Sullivan -- he was struck by lightning seven times.

Each strike took its toll -- he lost eyebrows and a toe nail as well as suffering singed hair and chest burns.

He died in 1993 -- not killed by lightning but by his own hand after reportedly being rejected in love.

Tai Babilonia, a really nice article

Tai Babilonia said she has always felt more comfortable on blades than in shoes. So, when the world champion pairs skater caught cabin fever last summer during a visit to the Aspen home of her fiance, comedian David Brenner, Babilonia knew where to go to get right.

At Lewis Ice Arena she found a familiar place in an unfamiliar town, a refuge, so to speak, for a "big city girl" unaccustomed to life in the mountains. She also found an old friend in Teri Hooper, the head coach at the Aspen Skating Club. Back when they were both aspiring young skaters, Hooper and Babilonia trained at the same Los Angeles rink under famed coach John Nicks.

A source said that “Ashlee has always been cute but for a long time she felt like the ugly duckling of the family compared to Jessica. Every time she looked in the mirror, she saw a too-prominent nose, and she decided to do something about it. She was thrilled with the results. She basically had the bump on her nose shaved down.”

German swastika buildings, $600,000 to hide

The U.S. Navy spent as much as $600,000 for the architectural and landscaping modifications to hide the fact that their four buildings together looks like a swastika from an up above view shot.

The 4 buildings are L shaped and because they are positioned next to each other this makes the swastika very noticeable, these buildings were constructed in the 60’s which were part of the amphibious base at Coronado of which served as barracks for Seabees.

We have put the video below of which you will see satellite images from Google Earth, without a doubt these buildings do look like the symbol used by the Nazis. The U.S. Navy have tried to mask the shape and have said that they do not want to be in any way associated with something as hateful and symbolic as a swastika.

Lord Justice Scott Baker told the potential jurors, who have all been randomly selected from the electoral roll, that the deaths had “created worldwide interest on an unprecedented.

You have to put out of your mind anything you have heard out of court. It will not be easy to do that in this particular case but you have to.”

They were also ordered to reveal any connections to the royal family, Mohamed al Fayed and the secret service.

A shortlist of around 20 to 25 candidates will then be drawn up and the final jury will be sworn in on Tuesday when the inquest gets under way in full.

Jesus Lizard David Yow is back with a new band

Yow can go back to his regular gig: bringing the rock.

He’s in a new band (Qui) with a new album (“Love’s Miracle”) and a tour that brings the Los Angeles-based trio to the Empty Bottle on Friday.

It’s Yow’s first rock gig since the Jesus Lizard, one of Chicago’s best bands ever, broke up nearly a decade ago.

“After the Jesus Lizard broke up, I was done,” Yow says. “I didn’t want to be in a band where I just repeat myself.”

Four years ago, he moved to Los Angeles to work as a computer-graphics artist.

But hanging out with Qui --- drummer-vocalist Paul Christensen and guitarist-vocalist Matt Cronk --- changed his mind. Though 17 years younger than the 47-year-old Yow, Christensen and Cronk shared similar tastes in music (nasty) and humor (twisted). It didn’t hurt that Christensen and Cronk were big Jesus Lizard fans, and they invited Yow to join them on stage at shows around L.A. After a while, the part-time trio morphed into a full-time band.

“We did a show in Hollywood last year and afterward it became apparent that I was in the band,” Yow says. “I was really enjoying playing with these guys, because they were teaching me new tricks.”

The new tricks included three-part harmonies, something Yow had never attempted before. “Love’s Miracle” leaves plenty of room for Yow’s deranged vocal spew, but it also showcases a newfound appreciation for melody on “New Orleans” and “A # 1.” Astute covers of Capt. Beefheart’s “Willie the Pimp” and Pink Floyd’s “Echoes” further expand the band’s range.

Christensen and Cronk had been playing together since 2000, and they’re fierce musicians. But when Yow joined in 2006 the band’s profile exponentially increased. Two respected indie labels, Ipecac and Touch & Go, vied to released “Love’s Miracle,” with Ipecac eventually winning out

“We were having a speaker-phone conversation with one of the guys at Ipecac, who told us we were in a no-lose situation trying to decide between two really good labels,” Yow says. “And when we got off the phone, Matt was almost in tears. He said, ‘Can’t lose! My whole life has been a can’t-win situation. I don’t know what to do.’ And then just a couple of months ago we toured Europe. It was the first time Matt and Paul had ever been out of the country, and I had to keep telling myself not to act like some dorky tour guide.”

Melbourne against WorkChoices

Up to 20,000 people have protested against the Australian governments industrial relations legislation in central Melbourne today. Protestors, including children wearing hardhats and holding anti-Work Choices signs, blocked traffic for more than two hours.

Victorian Trades Hall Council secretary Brian Boyd linked the WorkChoices legislation to the upcoming election. “The key thing we have to do is make sure that John Howard is not re-elected, that is our number one task over the next coming weeks and months," he said.

"As the workers' kids leave school, they're getting ripped off straight away by AWA (Australian Workplace Agreement) individual contracts - that's what we've found out over the last 12 months," Mr Boyd added.

Employers were warned before the protests that they should not pay employees who took time off work to attend.

Politicians of all parties were notably absent, keeping their distance from union activity as the build-up to the federal government election intensifies.

Burmese (Myanmar) police have beaten up to 700 protesters with batons

AFP reported that only monks were allowed to enter the pagoda, and Reuters has quoted witnesses as saying that tear gas was used to disperse the monks.

Some monks were taken away by police in trucks. This is the first time that Burmese security forces have used violence against the protests, which are now in their ninth day.

Burmese authorities have imposed a curfew from dusk until dawn, and have also banned public gatherings of more than five people. Troops and riot police have begun taking positions near monasteries, opposition party headquarters, and the house of pro-democracy activist Aung San Suu Kyi.

Comedian Zaganar was arrested at his home overnight. He has previously spoken publically in support of the protests.

The Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Alexander Downer, announced earlier today that the Australian government is following events in Burma closely, and urged the Burmese government to show restraint. He also called for the respect of "the legitimate right of Burmese citizens to peaceful protest."

Australian government support for Burmese protests

The Australian Minister for Foreign Affairs, Alexander Downer, has announced that the Australian government is following events in Burma closely, and urged the Burmese government to show restraint. He also called for the respect of "the legitimate right of Burmese citizens to peaceful protest."

The Minister also called for the release of political prisoners. "The continued detention of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and over one thousand political prisoners is unacceptable. I repeat calls for the Burmese regime to release Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and all other political prisoners immediately and unconditionally," he said in a media release.

Greens Senator Bob Brown criticised the Australian government, accusing them of hypocrisy over the issue of Burma. “Alexander Downer’s fear that the military will subject the pro-democracy protest leaders to ‘very harsh treatment’ is in absurd contrast with the Howard government’s twin policies of training the Burmese military and keeping open unrestricted trade," he said in a media release.

Demonoid.com shut down

Demonoid, a popular semi-private torrent tracker, is reported to have been shut down by the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA). This is the latest in many shutdowns of peer-to-peer websites by anti-piracy groups. Earlier this week, trackers Torrentbox and Podtropolis were disabled for visitors in the United States due to a law suit by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).

Demonoid is one of the largest torrent trackers on the internet, second only to The Pirate Bay, and tracks over a million torrent files. The site has recently moved its servers from the Netherlands to Canada in June after a Dutch piracy group BREIN subpoenaed Demonoid's ISP, demanding that the site be taken offline.

The site founder and administrator Deimos has not commented yet regarding the shutdown. Both the tracker and the website are inaccessible as of September 26 at 0700 UTC.

Australian Greens have attacked the governments green energy targets

Prime Minister John Howard announced the national targets yesterday, requiring that by 2020, 30,000 gigawatt hours of electricity each year comes from low emissions sources. The Greens claim that the targets do not go far enough. “John Howard’s 15% ‘clean’ target by 2020 is too little, too late,” said Greens Senate candidate for South Australia, Sarah Hanson-Young.

The Greens also claim that the inclusion of clean coal technology in the definition of "green energy" is misleading. “Howard’s spin doctors have been at it again. The target is misleading – it includes the unproven ‘clean coal’ technology, so the proportion of genuine clean, renewable energy generated is far less than we are led to believe," Ms Hanson-Young said.

The clean energy target is part of the governments $3.5 billion climate change strategy.

Laurie Oakes claims Aussie PM's Dept. smeared own MP

Australian political journalist Laurie Oakes has claimed that the Prime Minister's Department smeared one of its own ministers by leaking a personal and possibly embarrassing "fact sheet" on him. "I'm interested in this, you see, because I've been fed the same allegations about this minister, and they were fed to me by a Liberal," Oakes said.

The Labor Party has maintained for some time, and deputy opposition leader Julia Gillard reiterated, that the Government runs a "dirt unit" where they use public funds to dig up personal information in an attempt to harm politicians and members of the public whom they disagree with.

A report in News Ltd papers on Sunday said the "fact sheet" claims the unnamed Liberal Party Minister, who is married with children, sexually harasses other males in political circles and is rumoured to be sleeping with one of his staff members in Canberra.

Veteran political journalist from the Nine Network Laurie Oakes says the Liberal Party is behind the "fact sheet" about a Howard Government minister who visits gay bathhouses and harasses other men.

News Ltd journalist Glenn Milne's report on the gay accusations said the fact sheet on the minister was not being circulated by the Labor Party. According to Crikey “Glenn Milne got his gay smears documents from the Prime Minister’s press secretary Tony O’Leary, who was hawking it about as an example of "Labor dirt".”

Avoid Fungus During Summer

Gardening tips for pruning

As we discussed in the introduction, pruning plays an important role in the garden maintenance. If you commit any mistake while pruning, don’t lose your heart because it’s like a bad haircut, it is going to grow again.

Avoid watering in the evening

During summer, you may experience high humidity, which might result in lot of problems in your garden. To get your plants nice and dry, tuck them in for night. In addition to this watering in the evening may be avoided to prevent damage to the plants.

Get rid of Powdery mildew

Powdery mildew is the common fungus mostly affects your ornamental plants. This will create white film on the leaves of the plants in your garden. Even other ornamental plants such as Sand cherry and Dogwoods are also getting affected with this fungus. Efficient gardening is necessary to curtail the growth of this fungus. You can easily prevent this by spraying general fungicide in the garden center.

Prevention of Pythium Blight

If you’re in the north and also having perennial Rye grass, then you ought to be very careful not to leave your grass wet at night. A dreadful fungus called Pythium Blight may take its upper hand, if you leave your lawn wet in the night because this fungus love to grow in high humid condition mostly, in the night.

Pythium blight can easily be seen in the early morning. You can easily appreciate the fungus on the top of the lawn as white cotton candy. You can easily notice this fungus mainly along driveways and walks, where the soil is moist. Pythium blight can easily be controlled by watering in the day at the earliest possible time.

Fire Blight

Fire Blight, yet another culprit prefers to grow well during summer than any other season. This fungus prefers to attack Pyracantha, cotoneasters, crabapple trees, and Apple trees. The presence of Fire Blight can easily be visualized once the any one of the branches of the plant turns red and dies. This Fire Blight can be prevented little by pruning the affected branch and removing it from the main plant as far as possible.

It is also important that the cut branches should be burnt since Fire Blight is contagious and also wash or dip the projected shears by using alcohol in order to prevent the spread of the deadly fungus to other parts of the branch.

What is a Heart Monitor?

Known as a cardiac monitor, a heart monitor is a piece of electronic equipment that can be used to track or observe heart functions continuously. It allows people to place a numerical value on their healthiness based on their heart rate and have a target heart rate to work for. The more complex versions of the heart monitor allow physicians to see any signs of deterioration or improvement and make the necessary adjustments immediately.

Types of Heart Monitors

Today, heart monitors are produced by the millions and designed to cater specific types of individuals. Some heart monitors are primarily designed for weight loss programs while others are meant for the use of athletes or fitness programs. Some are wireless or come as a built-in feature of exercise equipment like a treadmill or an exercise bike. It can be strapped to your wrist or of considerable size. It may or may not emit any electromagnetic waves, depending on its purpose. A fetal heart monitor, for instance, must not produce any waves at all as this may affect the health of the baby.

Factors on Selecting the Best Heart Monitor for You

ECG-Accurate Monitors with Chest Straps – Heart monitors that come with chest straps are more often not the most accurate of heart monitors. The chest strap is strapped around your chest, a few centimeters below your breast. It contains a device that’s able to detect electrical activity of your heart and transmit it to the brain of the machine – just like an ECG. The results are shown on the display monitor, which most of the times is attached to your wrist like a watch. Others however prefer results to be transmitted through audio messages via earphones.

Upon choosing heart monitors with chest straps, you need to remember to keep the strap constantly connected to your body lest you want the heart monitor to produce inaccurate readings.

Lastly, the only alternative against buying heart monitors with chest straps are the ones that rely on pulses on your fingertips. These however do not provide readings as accurate as those with chest straps.

Heart Monitor Features – Basic and lower end models tend to display only your heart rate and maybe the elapsed exercise time as well. This of course does not provide sufficient information if you want to know exactly how much you need to improve before you can be qualified as a completely healthy individual. Higher end models will naturally offer a wider range of features – for a price. Examples of such features are – but not limited to – heart rate zone alarms, timers and number of calories burned. It may also allow users to set pre-programmed workouts along with a targeted heart rate.

Ease of Use – Lastly, you must purchase a heart rate monitor that you will have no problems of using. What good would a high end heart monitor do if it takes you an hour to operate it? Are the numbers and words appearing in the heart rate monitor readable? Can it be used in no-light situations? Are buttons well-labeled and ergonomically positioned?

James Woods, Nicole Simpson wanted to have sex with him

James Woods is just a great actor period, but here is also no doubt that James Woods is just a weird dude, so really how can we even put a grain of truth to this.

James Woods has had a long history of not only saying weird shit but has had really weird behavior in the past, what makes it incredible is this is the same guy that plays Shark. The sad part is that James Woods story does also mix with stories that came out at the trial about Nicole Simpson and after the trial stories that have been circulating about OJ Simpson’s weird sexual behavior.

The way I look at it is James Woods new season with Shark is coming up so what better way to just rock the media than claim some outrages shit like Nicole Simpson wanting to sleep with James Woods.

Nike Air Native N7 shoe marks another milestone

The Nike Air Native N7 shoe marks another milestone in Nike's long-standing commitment to Native American communities. Profits from the sale of the Nike Air Native N7 will support "Let Me Play" programs on Native American lands that leverage sport to promote an active and healthy lifestyle.

The Nike Air Native N7 shoe also embraces Nike's Considered design ethos, where details in the development and design of the shoe are geared to deliver sustainable innovation and reduce waste, without compromising product performance. The Considered design ethos also honors the traditional Native American Seventh Generation philosophy, an approach that respects the impact of decisions made today on seven generations. The shoe's design draws inspiration directly from Native American culture.

The Nike Air Native N7 shoe and "Let Me Play" programs deepen Nike's long-term commitments to challenge and address some of the specific health and wellness issues that exist within Native American communities. A strong emphasis was placed on providing a performance product that would cater to the specific needs of Native American foot shapes and help provide motivation to Native Americans predisposed to, or suffering from, health issues that can be improved by leading physically active lifestyles.

As well as being built on a new Native specific last, the shoe is constructed from the inside out to ensure significantly improved comfort and fit. This approach results in reduced seams and layering, while the use of performance foams at key points provides additional cushioning in specific areas of the shoe. In combination these elements help to improve overall fit and help wearers to avoid foot irritations caused by ill-fitting footwear. Creating a shoe designed in this way is another step in helping to promote and sustain physical activity and address health issues prevalent within the Native American community.

"Nike is aware of the growing health issues facing Native Americans," explained Sam McCracken, Manager of Nike's Native American Business program. "Through the Nike Air Native N7 we are stepping up our commitment to use our voice on a local, regional and national level to elevate the issue of Native American health and wellness. We believe physical activity can and should be a fundamental part of the health and wellness of all Native Americans."

"The Nike Air Native N7 marks an important moment for us and is a great example of what can be achieved when we challenge ourselves to innovate for a better world," said Mark Parker, President and CEO of Nike, Inc. "This product represents innovation beyond athletic performance, helping to improve Native American communities. It also exemplifies Nike's broader commitment towards sustainable design and community involvement."

The Nike Air Native N7 project has been a true collaboration with the Native American community and key stakeholders engaged in the health and wellness issues surrounding Native American populations. Research has engaged individuals from over 70 tribes as well as consulting podiatrists and members of Indian Health Services and the National Indian Health Board.

"Nike's development of the Nike Air Native N7 comes at a critical time for the health and well-being of the Native American population," said Dr. Rodney Stapp, Chief Executive Officer for the Urban Inter-Tribal Center of Texas, one of 36 urban Indian Health Centers funded by I.H.S. and a consulting podiatrist on the Nike Air Native N7 project. "Today, more than ever, we are faced with rising rates of chronic diseases brought on in large part by overweight and inactivity and for which physical activity is a noted step in the prevention of such diseases. The fact that Nike has been a long-time advocate for physical activity on Native Lands through its Native American Business Program speaks volumes to its true understanding of the growing need to tackle Native American health issues with the positive antidote of movement and sport."

The Nike Air Native N7 is a Nike+ enabled fitness shoe designed for a range of sports and activities. The Nike Air Native N7 will only be available through Nike's Native Business Program as an additional way for Native American communities to provide Nike product incentives at preferential prices to their members through health promotion and disease prevention programs.

“Halo 3 Skulls” and “Halo 3 Terminals”

Halo 3, there are two hidden Easter egg elements.Terminals will have no lasting impact on your gameplay, but it’s still good to find all of them as it should net you Achievement Points.

Skulls are what you really want to find as they can be thought of as anti-cheats, because if you activate one or more of the Skulls in a co-op mode you get to create more challenging game rules.

Feel free to talk more on Halo 3 Skulls in the comments, but for now find some information on where to find these Skulls below.

Iron Skull Location:
The “Iron Skull” is located at the very end of the first level, “Sierra 117″. It is located behind the building where Sgt. Johnson is being held captive, up on the roof. You can gain access to the roof on the far right side of the building. Travel all the way over to the left side of the roof, and the Skull will be concealed in the corner.

Black Eye Skull Location:
This Skull is located in the beginning of the second level “Crow’s Nest”, the very room you start in. Hanging down from the ceiling is some piping. On top of this piping, on the side nearest to the large display (the one that Hood appears on) lies the “Black Eye Skull”.

Tough Luck Skull Location:
The “Catch Skull” is found on the third level, at the point in the level when the huge covenant cruiser flies overhead. On your left is some large piping following the road you are walking on. Underneath this piping are some support beams that extend out over a cliff. Jump onto the first of these beams, and travel to the end of it. Look to your left, and the Tough Luck Skull will be sitting on a rock extending from a cliff edge.

Catch Skull Location:
The “Catch Skull” can be found on the fourth level, in the first area where you need to destroy the Wraith Tanks. When you enter this area, do not eliminate the Wraith Tanks (The skull appears when the tanks appear, and disappears when the tanks are destroyed). The Skull is located on top of the circular building next to the Anti-Air Tank. You can access the roof using a grenade jump, or jumping on the back of a hog.

Fog Skull Location:
The Fog Skull is found on the level “Floodgate“, at the very beginning of the level. As you are walking down from the anti-air gun you destroyed in the previous mission, you encounter a ramp (next to a missile launcher). Around this ramp, you hit a checkpoint. At this point, you should also hear a marine yelling, “There! Over There!”.

You have a small window of opportunity at this point, but it is fairly easy to get the Fog Skull. Look up, and to the right, directly at the roof of the building next to the missle launcher. There is a single flood form (not to be mistaken with the two other flood forms jumping in front of you) which is holding the skull. Kill him before he jumps, and he will drop the skull down to the ground where you can retrieve it. Too early, and the skull will get stuck on the roof though, so just time it carefully.

Famine Skull Location:
This skull requires a bit of grenade jumping skill/luck.

You can find the “Famine Skull” on the sixth level, near the point where the path you follow branches off into two sections (one leading to the area where you need to let the tanks across the bridge, and the other leading towards the area where you meet up with the frigate). Take the right path, as you would if you were completing the mission, and you’ll notice a structure above you / to the left of you (near the area where you encounter a few ghosts).

You need to scale the rocks to the right of the structure, and then travel across it so that you pass 3 of the large support beams extending into the cliffs. Inside of the fourth support beam, lies the Famine Skull. A well placed grenade should have you up there in no time!

Thunderstorm Skull Location:
The “Thunderstorm Skull” can be found on the level, “The Covenant”, after you take command of one of the Hornet vehicles. Fly towards the second force field generator (the one the Arbiter disabled), and land. The skull is waiting at the very top, at the end of the ramp extending over the sea.

Tilt Skull Location:
The “Tilt Skull” is found on the level “Cortana”, in the circular room where Cortana mentions that she “Likes to play games too…”.

It’s a bit difficult to get to, as it requires getting on top of the ceiling of the room. Upon entering the room, head towards the left side where you will see some mushroom shaped extrusions along the wall. Get on top of these, and then look up and towards the right for another set of extrusions. Jump to these. From here, you should be able to jump on top of the ceiling of the room, where the Tilt Skull lies in the center.

Mythic Skull Location:
This is probably the easiest Golden skull in the game to get. It is located in the very beginning of the final level in Halo 3. Begin by heading into the canyon, but hug the right wall. Very soon, you will notice that there is a turn to the right that is off the normal trail. Head a bit down this path, and the “Mythic Skull” will be sitting there.

Wayne Newton is 65, and Sharon Stone is 49

Wayne Newton is 65, and Sharon Stone is 49. However it's hard to tell exact ages from heavily doctored faces like these; I had to look it up. Skin shouldn't have to take that kind of abuse. Wayne probably can't stop smiling if he wants to, and Sharon's eyes are stretched almost to where her ears used to be. That's also quite a lovely fivehead she's growing.

It really is amazing what they can do with plastic surgery these days to retard ageing, but when do you draw the line? A really good surgeon can delay the inevitable for years, but there is nothing natural-looking about a 65 year old man with shiny tight skin and jet black hair. It's more Bela Lugosi than Brad Pitt.

Nan Goldin American fine-art and documentary photographer

Nan Goldin was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in the DC area suburbs in Maryland, but ran away from home and was fostered by a variety of families. Nan Goldin later schooling was at the Satya Community School in Boston, where a teacher introduced her to the camera in 1968, when Nan Goldin was fifteen.

Nan Goldin first solo show was in Boston in 1973, based on her photography among the city’s gay and transvestite communities, to which Nan Goldin had been introduced by her friend David Armstrong. It was he who renamed her “Nan”. Nan Goldin graduated from School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston/Tufts University in 1978.

Nan Goldin moved to New York City and began documentary photography of the punk newwave music scene, and the city’s vibrant gay subculture in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. Nan Goldin gradually being drawn in to the Bowery’s hard drug subculture. These photographs, taken from 1979 to 1986, form her famous work The Ballad of Sexual Dependency. The snapshot aesthetic images depict drug use, violent, aggressive couples and autobiographical moments. Most of her Ballad subjects were dead by the 1990s due to either drug overdoses or AIDS, including her close friend and often photographed subject, Cookie Mueller. In addition to the Ballad Nan Goldin combined her pictures in two other series I’ll Be Your Mirror and All by Myself.

Look art is very subjective but Nan Goldin’s work make the use of drugs as the in thing, so in my mind it is sick, but again who makes me an art critic, Nan Goldin at the end of the day is the person that decides what she feels she needs to showcase.

Air Hogs is a well known line of toy grade airplanes

Air Hogs airplanes, helicopters, and rockets manufactured by Spin Master of Toronto, Canada. Most are radio control and designed to be easily flown without any need for assembly.

The origins of the Air Hogs line date back to 1996, when Spin Master was approached by British inventors John Dixon and Peter Manning, whose prototype compressed air powered toy airplane had been rejected by everyone they had shown it to. Excited by the plane’s potential, Spin Master licensed the technology and spent two years and half a million dollars perfecting the toy.

The Air Hogs Sky Shark debuted in spring 1998 and was an immediate hit, fueled by coverage on The Today Show and Live with Regis and Kathy Lee, as well as write-ups in Time and Popular Science.

Follow-up successes have included Zero Gravity RC Wall Crawler (a radio control Hummer-style vehicle that can be driven up walls), the hugely popular Aero Ace battery powered RC airplanes, Air Hogs Stormlauncher (an innovative vehicle that can operate on land, water, and can fly) and Havoc Heli (a 6.5” long indoor RC helicopter weighing just 10 grams).

Having been an avid Air Hogs Havoc Heli pilot I did crave a little more excitement in my life so I set my sites on the Air Hogs Reflex. Air Hogs advertised that it had the ability to go forward, backwards, left and right. This was accomplished with the two sets of vertical propellers that were near the main rotor.....

Wendie Ann Schweikert is a sickness, Wendie Ann Schweikert is a virus, Wendie Ann Schweikert is just another one of many that seem to keep poping up every other week, we must as ourself s how many more Wendie Ann Schweikert’s are still in our schools and we just do not know.

The thing that just astonishes me is how when you see Wendie Ann Schweikert or all these teachers that have been caught, when they speak it is like there is no remorse or if there is remorse it is because they got caught and not for what they have done.

Wendie Ann Schweikert pleaded guilty only to avoid a higher sentence not because she felt she was wrong and needed to pay society.

Jenni Carlson vs Mike Gundy story updated

Sam Bradford followed up his impressive performance against North Texas with an even more impressive one against Miami...The next question from the Sooner Nation — what about Keith Nichol? ...But at the same time, the future is something Nichol will have to think about eventually...Brent Rawls and Tommy Grady did....Rawls or.. Jason White.

Jenni Carlson writes this in her column.

Series of observations....every journalists have right to express, so is anyone. If you make the news big, if you stir the news in front of media, you are only making fool of yourself.

Mike Gundy seriously needs a class or two on managing media. We know he can make stars out of dust, but it will be wonderful if can only stick to on field matters. Jenni Carlson is already a star, she does not need occasional jack like this.

There where no injuries were reported in the Borgata Fire, which started at about 7:45 a.m. on the south side of the tower and was under control about 20 minutes later. The cause of the Borgata Fire remained under investigation Sunday night,

but appeared that the Borgata Fire started in the breezeway connecting the tower and the main Borgata Casino.

The Borgata Fire may end up delaying the opening of the hotel, again even though the Borgata Fire was not considered serious.

Salvia guaranitica is the one most favored by hummingbirds

Salvia guaranitica is the one
Of all the plants in our little herb garden, the lovely and long blooming Salvia guaranitica is the one most favored by hummingbirds. Our home herb garden is primarily culinary herbs. It includes edible flowers and a few herbs attractive to pollinators, butterflies and hummingbirds. I went out in the late afternoon with a book and camera in hand hoping if I sat quietly the hummingbirds would appear. After about ten minutes I heard the little buzzing “chewit” call of the Rufous hummingbird. She made a dive for the blue sage with the large hooked flowers.

To grow this sage, select a well drained spot in full to half sun. This plant will grow 4′to 6′tall. When winter temperatures fall below 20 degrees plants often do not make it through the winter. Nevertheless, it is worthwhile to simply treat this plant as an annual for all the joy it brings. A light fertilizing during the growing season is all that is needed. Like all my perennial herbs, I stop fertilizing in early August to help the plants harden off for winter. Clip it back close to the ground in late winter for best summer blooms. The foliage is edible but relatively flavorless. Cathy Wilkinson Barash, author of Edible Flowers: From Garden to Palette assures me the flowers are safely edible. Their beauty, moderate water needs and lure for hummingbirds make them a valuable garden plant. When grown in container plants rarely exceed 3′ but will grow and bloom vigorously.

Gretchen Egolf gained a blink-or-you’ll-miss-it role in the feature

Gretchen Egolf attended and eventually graduated from The Juilliard School, New York City. Gretchen Egolf then went on to do a variety of theater work- impressing critics with her versatility.

Opening her opportunities in television and film, Gretchen Egolf gained a blink-or-you’ll-miss-it role in the feature- ‘Quiz Show’ and was cast as recurring character- Vanessa Whitaker, in the hit series- ‘Roswell’.

In 1999, Gretchen Egolf’s big break came when she was made a regular on the popular syndicate- ‘Martial Law’.

Her character- Amy Dylan was the chief of the Major Crimes Unit, and the part allowed Gretchen Egolf to show all her talents as an actress. Gretchen Egolf even picked up martial-art skills since her character was an aspiring martial-artist.

It was also in 1999 that Gretchen Egolf married her long-time boyfriend: Welsh actor- Mason Phillips. At a humble ceremony, on Saturday, July 24, 2PM, the two exchanged vows at the house of the bride’s parents, in Lancaster.

Since Gretchen Egolf work on ‘Martial Law’, Gretchen Egolf was cast as the lead in NBC’S recent syndicate- ‘Leap of Faith’. However, she was replaced mid-season with an actress, who had better credentials.

Apparently, NBC executives were so adamant about bringing in Sarah Paulson to replace Gretchen that they refused to pick the show up unless their demands were met.

Moon Bloodgood Journeyman Travels To See

Journeyman, is a show so overloaded with backstory that much of the time one spends watching the pilot is used deciphering the interactions rather than focusing on the show itself. This might be a more fruitful exercise if the romantic story arcs were not so clichéd. The show definitely has interesting elements to it, but too much of it seems focused on soap opera-type romance.

Journeyman centers around Dan Vasser (Kevin McKidd, Rome). Dan is a newspaper reporter who happens to get swept up in a huge ball of light that sends him back in time, but just a few years back. After getting his bearings (at least a little), Dan saves a man who is about to kill himself, and soon jumps back into the present. Throughout the rest of the pilot, Dan jumps to different moments in the past, continually interacting with the same man and his wife, and meets up with a few people from his own past. He quickly learns that time in the present does not stand still when he is in the past, nor does the amount of time he was in the past directly correspond with the amount that elapses in the present.

Back in the present, Dan's wife, Katie (Gretchen Egolf) becomes increasingly distraught with her husband's disappearances. It becomes abundantly clear that Dan has had some sort of problem in the past, presumably, though not definitely, alcohol addiction or another type of addiction. Additionally, his marriage to Katie has been going through a rough period which has just gotten back on track prior to Dan's disappearances. Thus, Dan skipping out for days at a time wreaks havoc in his marriage.

Making the whole thing that much more complicated is the fact that Dan keeps seeing the ex-love of his life, Livia (Moon Bloodgood) when he goes back in time. Livia, it seems, was last seen by Dan as she was getting in a cab to go to the airport years previously. Though the show does not state as much till more than halfway through, the audience quickly perceives that the plane Livia was on crashed. Dan's seeing Livia in the past causes his unresolved feelings for her to resurface, creating an odd sort of love triangle with his wife.

Or, maybe it is a love rectangle because as if that was not enough, there is also Dan's brother, Jack (Reed Diamond), who is a police detective. Jack happens to have, at one time, dated Katie when Dan was with Livia. Jack still talks to both Katie and Dan; one can only presume that enough time has passed to heal that wound, or at least allow it to scab over.

The who, how, and wherefores of this time traveling are left up in the air in the pilot, although it does seem clear that Dan has some Sam Beckett-Quantum Leap-style work to do in the past, in the case of the pilot, with the man he saved from committing suicide. Dan is actually told as much, sort of, but by whom I will not say. It should be terribly obvious early on in the show, but I will not divulge secrets anyway at this time.

It is also fairly obvious that Dan's feelings for Livia and either Katie's for Jack or Jack's for Katie will be resurfacing on a fairly regular basis as the show progresses. It is all very soap opera-esque, and without the addition of the time travel story would undoubtedly fit into the "primetime soap opera" category.

What then to make of the show?

There is certainly enough there to keep viewers returning for at least a second, and possibly third helping of the series. However, the hackneyed romantic backstory needs to take a backseat to new and different interactions at some point. What is laid out in the first episode is neither subtle nor terribly clever, yet it locks the producers in to a such a rigorously defined romantic world early on, that to see the elements play out will not be interesting to the viewer. Hopefully the producers will find a way to get past the romantic history of the characters and move the story and the people forward in interesting directions as the show progresses.
