Melanie Goodwin’s body was found Tuesday morning in a grassy area

Tuesday morning in a grassy area at the 3200 block of Keller Springs Road in Carrollton. Melanie Goodwin, resident of Arlington and student at University of North Texas.

Melanie Goodwin’s body was burned at the scene. The cops have not said yet the cause of death of Melanie Goodwin, but that the investigation is ongoing.

The cops say that right now there are no suspects but the unidentified guy that was seen with Melanie Goodwin considered a “person of interest.” but they have not found him yet.

Melanie Goodwin was last seen at 1:40 a.m. Tuesday at a convenience store at Mayhill Road and Interstate 35E in Denton. Melanie Goodwin was seen leaving in her car with an unidentified male. Melanie Goodwin drove a red 2002 Saturn, Texas license place Z57WBT, and her vehicle is still missing, police said.

Melanie Goodwin was remembered as a “highly intelligent” woman, who people just felt attracted to, Melanie Goodwin made people just smile, and will be hugely missed said a friend of Melanie Goodwin. “Melanie Goodwin never got in trouble,” he said.

The Police has asked if anybody has information on the death of Melanie Goodwin to please contact them, the Police says if they had any contact what so ever with Melanie Goodwin that night to please call.
