Primary School Nail Bomb, Suspect Arrested

The nail bomb attack outside a primary school in Liverpool. It has now been reported that a man has been arrested in conjunction with the attack. Police have described the nail bomb, which went off minutes before the children finished school as an ‘improvised firework-type device’.

The vehicle the bomb was attached to was a Nissan Micra and belonged to a female teacher. It was parked around 30ft from the windows of the £4,500-a-year public school but fortunately no one was hurt.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman has revealed

“A 21-year-old man from Huyton, Merseyside, has been arrested on suspicion of causing an explosion.”
