Milka Duno is a race car driver best known for holding the record of highest finish for a female driver in the 24 Hours of Daytona as well as her current participation in the IndyCar Series. Duno is a former model and has thus attracted much attention. Her racing career is unusual because of her late start; she did not start racing until she was 24 and her experience prior to racing was mostly academic; Duno holds Master's Degrees in Organizational Development, Naval Architecture, Maritime Business, and Marine Biology, and spent some time working as a naval engineer. Duno struggled in her rookie IndyCar season and was placed on probation.
SAMAX chose not to return to the IndyCar Series in 2008, leaving Duno without the promised full time seat as previously had been announced. For 2008, Duno signed with Dreyer & Reinbold Racing with another partial season schedule (announced as 11 races in 2008) also sponsored by Citgo. Upon testing alongside veteran teammate and former Indy 500 winner Buddy Rice, Duno began to show immediate improvement. Townsend Bell was signed as the driver of the Dreyer & Reinbold #23 during the seven races Milka was not scheduled to drive it in 2008. Unlike the previous announcement made by SAMAX Motorsport in 2007, no indication was made about Duno's future with Dreyer & Reinbold in 2009 and beyond.

Jim Nabors, Back Home Again
Jim Nabors got off the flight from Hawaii where he was actually spending time with his good friend Carol Burnett. I never really realized this about Gomer, but at least this night he seemed well….how do I put it delicately…a bit light in the loafers…as Jerry Seinfeld would say, “Not there’s anything wrong with that!”
I must say that for the several minutes we talked while coming from the gates and getting his baggage, he was very kind, even went so far as to say that he bet my mom and he would make great friends after I told him why I wanted his picture. Still, the whole encounter left me with the impression that his was either inibriated or bordering on flamboyant. Looking back on it now, it may have been both.
The other very strange thing about this is what happened after I took this picture. It was the last picture on this particular roll of film, and after I snapped the photo by the Traveler’s Aide Desk, a thought came to me that said, “OK, your done.” It was a very overwhelming thought, and it puzzled me for several hours while on post. Then, at about 12:30am, as I was walking from baggage to ticketing at United’s old LAX terminal, I stopped dead and my tracks, as if (to go Star Wars on you here) there was a disturbance in the Force. It came over me at just about the same spot as I took the picture of Jim Nabors. At the time I couldn’t figure it out.
I mentioned it to some of the other people with whom I worked, and it kept nagging at me all night long. When I got off at 5 in the morning, I caught the shuttle bus over to where the regular RTD bus lines and Airport Express Buses waited at their layover point, caught the first RTD that ran East on Century Boulevard to downtown LA, all the time thinking about that “disturbance”. I got off to change buses at Crenshaw Boulevard not too far away from the Crenshaw Christian Center (Dr. Frederick K Price’s Faith Dome) and waited for the bus to take me North onto Vine St, and my stop several blocks South of Hollywood and Vine.

HP purchase EDS at a price of $25.00 per share
HP and EDS have announced that they have finally signed a definitive agreement where HP will purchase EDS at a price of $25.00 per share which actually means an enterprise of around $13.9 billion; this has been unanimously approved by the boards of directors of HP and EDS.This new transaction is expected to close in the second half of calendar year 2008 which will more than double HP’s services revenue at $16.6 billion in fiscal 2007, as of the end of each company’s 2007 fiscal year where annual revenues of over $38 billion and 210,000 employees doing business in over 80 countries.
HP are intending to establish a new business group to be branded EDS and HP company which will have their head quarters at EDS’s existing executive offices in Plano, Texas.
HP do plan on EDS to continue to be led after the deal closes by EDS Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Ronald A. Rittenmeyer who will indeed join HP’s executive council and report to Mark Hurd, HP’s chairman and chief executive officer.

Xbox 360 lineup for this year
Microsoft Game Studios will release this year you can now stop guessing, as we now have the full year lineup. As you would expect the biggest title on the list is Gears of War 2, but there are still some other great titles for all tastes.
This new lineup was unveiled at a showcase event in San Francisco, it even had Epic’s Gears of War 2 chief giving us a little demonstration of the fantastic gameplay that his title has to offer. It seemed as if he just wanted to show off the games great gameplay as well as the superb visual effects while playing a campaign sequence.

Sony PS3 firmware update 2.35
New system update for the Sony PS3, the firmware 2.35 is meant to improve stability for a number of PlayStation 3 titles however; the most important title, GTA IV still has its problems though. Not all Sony PS3 owners have experienced problems with Grand Theft Auto, only a few owners with older systems. Sony have not yet let us know what titles will benefit from this new firmware update 2.35, but I am sure that users will let us know in a short amount of time.
Grand Theft Auto IV is downloading damaging viruses
John Safa who was a former hacker is now IT security expert and head of security for DriveSentry has warned that gamers who are downloading illegal copies of the game on to their PC and unknown to them are downloaded damaging viruses. Safa has said “People are exploiting the popularity of Grand Theft Auto IV in a way which could bring mayhem to the internet.” He then added “The only thing that many gamers can think of at the moment is Grand Theft Auto IV and hackers are using that interest to try to generate chaos as quickly as they can.”

HTC Touch Diamond and while it has only just been released, it’s not only come out a month before the expected 3G iPhone launch, but one week on from launch and the Touch Diamond has been hacked already.
It makes you wonder if the phone makers do not mind their cell phones getting hacked, or are these hackers really that good and no security can stop them.
Whatever way it is, this hack will bring features that many users will like and thanks to a XDA Devs user, the HTC Diamond’s ROM has been hacked and the soft keyboard extracted.If you want to run this hacked feature, then you will need to visit the XDA Devs site but remember to change the default language from Italian to English on install (unless you speak Italian that is), and the install may be a bit slow but this is apparently normal.
We have not tested this hack, so do it at your own risk but its said to ask you to reset your device and then it will give you 3 new KB layouts. American idol final 2, an American idol top 2 (Syesha Mercado Vs David Archuleta Vs David Cook)
Tonight on American Idol we will find out who will be battling it out in the finals. I personally would like to see Syesha Mercado and David Archuleta go head to head… I’m very bored with David Cook and I personally find him to be a bit arrogant.

Man Killed Near Campus
There was a shooting in the parking lot near Top Dog on Durant and Bowditch (pictured above) this afternoon at approximately 3:45pm. Various sources including the Daily Cal (which is nearly impossible to load due to high traffic) are saying a man was shot six times by an unidentified man. CBS is reporting that 911 phone calls were made at 3:49pm to report a man with a gun and at 3:51pm to report a male victim and the apparent shooter fleeing in a silver car. Students walking home from campus saw several police cars and the entire block of Durant from below Bowditch to College closed off to pedestrians and cars.

One was you didn't get your question answered and I apologize. I thought that we had set up interviews with all the local stations.
