Aaron Richard Ouelette and Michael Angelo Sanudo both Hispanic are in custody and were investigating whether race was a factor in the death of the victim, who was black.
The cops say that Aaron Richard Ouelette and Michael Angelo Sanudo attacked in an alley, then run over at least twice in a pickup early Saturday. He became caught under the truck and was “dragged for a considerable distance” before Aaron Richard Ouelette and Michael Angelo Sanudo in the vehicle stopped and abandoned the truck.
Aaron Richard Ouelette, 21, and Michael Angelo Sanudo, 20, both of Yuba City, were each held Monday on $1 million bond on suspicion of murder, robbery, gang affiliation and parole violation.
“They are both Hispanic,” police spokeswoman Shawna Pavey said.She declined to say why the victim was in the alley, or why he was so brutally assaulted by Aaron Richard Ouelette and Michael Angelo Sanudo.
