Cell phones risk of brain cancer

Dr. Ronald Herberman, Director of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute has told his faculty that they should limit the time they spend on their cell phones, because of a possible risk from brain cancer.

In his warning to his faculty, Herberman pointed to nonpublished research. This research suggests that everyone especially children should limit “long-term cell phone use to possible adverse health effects including cancer.”

Herberman had also said that children are more at risk from brain cancer from cell phones, as their brains are still developing.
