Marilyn Monroe’s classic dresses going on show in UK

After being hidden away from public view for around 40 years, some of Marilyn Monroe’s classic dresses are going on show at the Hilton Brighton Metropolis Hotel in Brighton until Sunday the 7th October.

One of the most iconic of the costumes is arguably the white dress she wore in the 1956 film The Seven Year Itch. Fans saw her skirt blown up by the breeze from the subway

The exhibition includes several of the star’s original dresses, patterns and sketches by Oscar-winning costume designer William Travilla.
