The Knicks acquired the draft rights to Jared Jordan on Sunday, two days before training camp opens.
The Knicks traded cash considerations to the Clippers, who drafted Jordan in the second round, 45th overall, in June. Jordan, who grew up in Hartford and played at Kingswood-Oxford in West Hartford, averaged 17.2 points and 8.7 assists last season for Marist, becoming the first player to lead Division I in assists for two consecutive seasons since Avery Johnson in 1987-88.
While the Knicks are working to buy out Dan Dickau's contract, they still enter camp with point guards Stephon Marbury, Mardy Collins and Nate Robinson.
