Typhoon Fitow has been heading toward Japan

There are now signs that later this week it could hit a region near Tokyo, which means that the capital will be bombarded with strong winds and heavy rain.

Typhoon Fitow was first located 650 km south of Tokyo traveling at 15 kph in a northeast direction.

Japan’s Meteorological Agency has said that Fitow has wind speeds of 126 km per hour; Hachijojima will be the first island to be hit by Thursday morning that is just 300 km south of Tokyo.
