Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps

The Sanborn Map® Collection consists of a uniform series of large-scale detailed maps, dating from 1867 through 1969 and depicting the commercial, industrial, and residential sections of cities. Designed by surveyor D.A. Sanborn in 1866 these meticulously detailed, color-keyed insurance maps assisted fire insurance agents in determining the degree of hazard associated with a particular property. More...
