Bollywood star Salman Khan against a five-year prison sentence for a 1998 poaching case on Friday. This verdict will send the actor to jail. The 2006 court ruling which has sentenced him to jail for poaching a chinkara (an endangered species of Gazelle) while shooing a film in Rajasthan state. Khan filed an appeal against the sentence. This wasn’t his only conviction.
Khan was convicted in 2006 for killing protected black buck antelopes and given a one-year prison sentence. He was granted bail while appealing that conviction.
