Katy ISD and Humble ISD have begun dismissing students

According to reports, kids are being released as this report is being written. Concerns over icy roads and the buses driving on them packed with children are a worry.

Katy ISD and Humble ISD have begun dismissing students. Other districts are starting or considering early dismissal are Fort Bend ISD, Clear Creek ISD, Cy Fair ISD, and Houston ISD. While their have been some claims of huge amounts of snow, Weather.com reported that:

"Today: Periods of snow. cold Temps nearly steady in the mid 30s. Winds N at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of snow is 90 percent. Snow accumulating to 1 to 2 inches."

"Tonight: Some clouds this evening will give way to mainly clear skies overnight. Cold. Low 27F. WInds NNW at 10 to 15 mph."

Officials are very worried about icy roads and the cold weather creating a traffic nightmare. This is the earliest snowfall in Houston history recorded.
