Tips Put Your List Building Efforts Into Overdrive

List building can be a very long process, but you have some options that will put your list building efforts on a much higher level:

1. Give people a free report to sign up for your list: If you have some articles about your niche that you’ve already submitted to directories or used on your web site, they’re very easy to put together into a report. If you don’t have articles to use, buy some private label rights articles and create a report with them. Then, on your list building page, just above the opt-in box, you might insert, “Sign up for your free report on ‘Making Your First Million Online’,” or whatever your niche is. Or, use the report as the purpose for people to come to your list building page entirely. Either way, you’ll see a rapid increase in sign-ups.

2. Find a good co-registration service: Co-registration is when your newsletter, ezine, or mailing list is advertised alongside the advertisements for other newsletters, ezines, or mailing lists. My free site List Hero is a co-registration site, for instance, but you can also join places like List Opt or List Builder Pro. With a free service, you simply advertise the co-registration box on your web site, as a pop-up or pop-under. You earn credits for showing the opt-in box and for each credit you accumulate, your ad is shown somewhere else. Or, some services just advertise your site for you. These are usually paid co-reg services, and the prices vary. Usually, you buy a certain number of subscribers each month, depending on how fast you want your list to grow and how much you want to spend. Whatever you decide, co-registration is a quick way to get things moving.

3. JV: Joint venturing is working with another business to grow your list faster. You can do this in several different ways, of course, but I found the fastest way is by setting up a teleseminar. So, you call the other business owner and say, “I’d like to help you sell your product. Would you be willing to do a teleseminar with me about…” and it would be something that solves a problem for the people in your niche. For instance, if your niche is golf and the other businessperson sells golf clubs, you might have a teleseminar about using the best putter or driver or whatever. Then, you get the other person to mail to their list and send them to your list building page. Voila! Instant list building. You can drive targeted web site traffic there in several different ways, too.

Of course, there are many ways to go about list building. These are just three of the quickest ways I know to make it happen. If you have some money to spend and don’t want to waste much time, then co-registration may be the ticket. Or, if you want to build business relationships, try a joint venture. But if you’re really new and don’t have a very big budget, then you may just want to compile a report and let it work for you. Each way has advantages and drawbacks, but whatever you decide all of these ways will really improve your list building efforts, almost overnight.
