While looking online for replacement fairy lights (as you do) I came across this Santa Claus decoration by Ginza Tanaka (Japan).
Now, this is no ordinary Christmas ornament. This Santa is created from 20 kilograms of pure gold. Standing at 41-centimetres high, the Santa comes complete with gifts carried in his sack over his shoulder. Being made out of solid gold isn’t enough, however, with Santa rocking a 1.4 carat diamond in his belt!
If this is the kind of decoration you’d want adorning your mantelpiece this Christmas, be prepared to pay around 200 million yen!
